Yea the unmixed CD is only tunes from the Tectonic back catalogue, the studio mix is Tectonic stuff mixed up a Pinch selection of dubplates.

I wouldn't say it's too soon - Changes is much older than some of the tunes that have been coming out on DMZ recently. I think it might one of those tunes that never comes out. If that's the case I will be GUTTED cos it's by far my favourite unreleased bit of tuna.

definately not too soon

ive just stopped thinking about it and managed to find a stance where i can be happy that it never comes out, cos if it was coming it wouldve come by now.

its not like it can be because they dont rate it, so there must be another thought involved... it is a magical tune, and i think it will lose a little bit of that if you see it up on boomkat or whatever, i always figured they want to keep that magic

for me it represents me getting into the sound, hearing that rattle through darkened (near empty) rooms in the early(ish) days... it represents that hazy, dreamy era to me, and in a way i dont want that to be risked by having a next bit of plastic... ive got mixes with it on, so maybe i can do without it. and id hate to hear it get caned by every next dj

didnt know the tune was that old...id just heard it on a distance mix a month or 2 back.
it does sound a lil 'retro' now that you mention it, though...thick vibes nonetheless.

any dmz tune that doesnt get released is a tragedy...at least for the ears worldwide that dont get to hear em rinsed properly.
