check out some of the trillbass crew, they have a hard sound, i guess you could relate it to metal.

also if you go on beatport and look on the top downloaded tracks its usually flooded with intense-wonk

haha the word "spam" is used waay to freely these days i think...
i was just reminding people that i make some kinda metal-step feel tunes. And doesn't it annoy any other producers that Distance "owns" the metalstep sub genre feel? When someone hears my tunes - " yeh man, sounds like distance"...naaaaaah!

I've heard buzz about Scorn but never got to check them out because I couldn't figure out if people were talking about the Napalm Death side project. Big ups for the link!

he's one of the greater associations to that variety and it has been a consistant part of his sound for a relatively long time.

who called it metalstep anyway?

the leading artists of the scene have all tried to carve their own niche.

Yeah, try:

Distance - Twilight

Benga - Dramatic

and a couple more distance tunes, dramatic is a prime example though even though benga generally isnt really a metalstep artist lol. assuming obviously that metalstep refers to dub tunes which basslines sound like a guitar riff rather than electronicly studio produced bass.
