Season 5 is pure ruffage. Lost is gettin better and better. Still half a year until season 6. Thats torture. Cant wait such long. That cliffhanger at the end of season 5 was evil.

I reckon the producers are guna have a hard job concluding it tho, so many unexplained things, far too many to tie up in a season. alpert, smoke monster, locke, numbers etc all fucking enigmas still

They'll leave loads unanswered.. because it's irrelevant to the plot, they put bare shit in just to throw people off.

..but I think they'll leave out the whole 'how the fucking thing even exists/got there' and just let people decide/discuss among themselves.

Abrams, Cuse & Lindelof are smart mothafuckahs I tell you that, people will be talking about Lost for years imo.. It's one of those 'guaranteed that someone, somewhere, is talking about it right now' sorta things. It proper gets you thinking.. (if you're a fan of course)

But yeah it's unfortunate that they've had to cut it down so much, so I think the last season will be interesting, but very hard to perfect, given the short time to let everything unfold.

Fucking love this program. The first two series were a bit hit and miss but I'm glad I've stuck it out until now. I also think it might just confound expectation and end really well. They seem to know what they're doing.

My mate reckons they are both Gods fighting it out over the fate of humanity. Who knows though.

The smoke monster seems to have some morals for whatever reason so I figured it might have been programmed somehow or created by someone for a reason.

Never thought the guy in black could be the smoke monster. Could be the form either one of them takes when the other one controls the island. Could see Jacob as a big waft of smoke pretty soon.

The guy on the left is named Esau and people presume he is Jacobs twin, and has somehow reformed dead bodies to manipluate people in order to win his right to the island, e.g Christian Shepard / dead Locke and alive murdering Jacob type Locke at same time. Esau mentions he will "...find a loop hole" cant kill jacob for some reason.

There are plenty of references to the bible here

These 2 are like the black and white 'pieces' fighting for the island.

Its like somehow somebody is manipulating time in order to correct shifts in time and win the island for themselves, so nobody knows when it is and where it is !

Esau says that it "always ends the same" with destruction and corruption, when people are brought to the Island. The blond man *JACOB* replies that it only ends once and anything before that is just progress. The unnamed man *ESAU* asks his companion if he knows how badly he wants to kill him, and the JACOB replies with a simple "Yes." ESAU declares that one day he will find a "loophole" which will allow him to do so and the JACOB informs him that he will be waiting for him at that exact spot.

Found this :

The statue is of Anubis, the Egyptian God of death. Also, a picture of Anubis was shown in the temple where the black smoke came from. Thus, the black smoke is Anubis, the God of death. We have seen the smoke monster appear in the form of Eko's brother, Yemi, Alex, and as Christian. It can appear in the form of anyone whose dead body is on the island. Now, drumroll, the smoke monster is appearing as John Locke. the real John Locke is indeed dead.

Anubis is also the guy we saw at the begining on the beach with Jacob. Jacob is also a God, and normally God's can't kill each other. The loophole is that apparently only a mortal man is able to kill a God. This is why people don't get to see God until they are dead (when they go to heaven). This is why Ben never got to see Jacob. Anubis figured this out. First, Anubis tried to use the form of Christian to convince people on the island to do things against Jacob's will and change history. But Jacob kept rebalancing things back to the way they were supposed to happen (by power of persuasion when visiting everyone off the island, for example). So Aubis came up with Plan B, to pose as John Locke, then appear as Alex to convince Ben to kill Jacob.

Why does Anubis want to kill Jacob? Because Jacob is RA, God of life. Richard Alpert is his son, perhaps (initials R.A. or RA). We literally saw Jacob bring Locke back to life after he fell out of the window. With Jacob dead, Anubis can now alter history however he pleases and kill whomever he wants. He can again rule as God of death. This is the ultimate bad ending. We're doomed!

But wait, Juliet just got the bomb to explode, which will mean everything that happened on the show, including the killing of Jacob, never happened. She saved the day. In fact, everything done by the Losties for the whole series was a component leading up to this. And it was Jacob who led to them all coming to the island. So they all played a part in "keeping balance to the force."
