Sounds like a step up from those Sesame Street fucks to be honest. Not the best job prospect when you can get replaced by a puppet is it?rachel wrote:last week i met a (small) guy who played an ewok in rtn of the jedi (does the cartwheel at the end). he was working at a halloween party, painted red with stick-on horns and doling out sambuca. oh how the mighty have fallen...

Let's see...
I have seen Star Wars,Empire, and Return over 60 times - each.
Official Star Wars Fan Club(in the days before it became the "Lucasfilm/Star Wars fan club)for seven years.
Had every book published by DelRey,including episodes 4-6,every spinoff, every Star Wars canon novel, and the Official Guide To The Star Wars Universe.I had all the comics too, including thier offshoots.
I also once owned the Ewok movies.
I had every Star Wars toy and action figure Kenner ever put out from the first 3 movies, including the C-3PO and Darth Vader figurine cases.Don't know who makes the toys now.And I had this cool remote controlled Lanspeeder.I had built all the models Ertl and Revell made(building the Speeder Bike was dope!).Had a shitload of Pez dispesers too.
I had the biggest crush on Princess Leia to the point where I had not only 8 posters and autographed 8x10's of Carrie Fisher on my walls, but I had three t-shirts of that hottie:Buns, camo n' braids, and bikini!
As I am sure everyone else had,I slept in Star Wars pjs on Star Wars sheets, under Star Wars blankets on Star Wars pillowcases. At night I would turn off my R2-D2 lamp and turn on my Stormtrooper nightlight.
I had the stickers, the Colorforms and Shrinky Dink sets, magnets, pins, pens(the coolest one was Luke's Landspeeder parked at Mos Eisley that shifted when you turned it upside down),and coloring books.
I hated the taste of C-3POs,the cereal, but I ate it everyday until it was discontinued anyway!
I watched the "Droids" and "Ewoks" cartoons religiously.
My clothes hamper was a giant R2.
I did a book float in 5th grade in which I utilised techniques from watching my videotaped copy of "The Making Of Star Wars" on ABC,so it lit up with stars made from poking holes in black velvet.I had a Snowspeeder set to fire and slide down a string on the next one, when the making of Empire came out.
And...I had Star Wars Underoos!
Does that qualify me?
Never got into the newer ones much. They were okay, but "The Force" used to be a philosphy and spiritual trancendence,as it was in all people, but this whole "it's in the blood/genes" thing has killed the dreams of young Jedis everywhere!!!
I can handle Ewan McGregor in the movies, mainly because his uncle played Wedge, which gives him some serious cred. And Natalie Portman is hot.Not Leia in a near see-through gold bikini hot,but hot nontheless.
