Sorry dreamizm, been busy since my last post!
We use this frozen joghurt thing with some of the drinks, it's really nice. I imagine you could easily make it from either soy or regular joghurt, mixed with coconut milk and vanilla. Pour into ice mold and freeze. Can pop 2-3 cubes into the blender with the juice.
This one is nice:
Orange juice, frozen mango cubes, half a passion fruit. Blend. Add carrot juice.
Or this:
Apple juice, frozen strawberries and raspberries, few cubes of frozen joghurt, dry rose petals. Blend. Top up with almond milk.
Veggie one:
One half: celery, fennel, cucumber and a tiny bit of beetroot juice Other half: carrot juice
We usually mix some powdered herbs with these, they don't affect taste but used in long term might affect other things

I can see how that can be nice, minus the coconut milk.ch3 wrote:Sorry dreamizm, been busy since my last post!

Re: Diet + Spiritual Wellbeing
This is pretty much the philosophy I follow in regards to food. I cut out sweets a long time ago and will only indulge occasionally (like the bit of ice cream I had over Christmas).dreamizm wrote:
1. Do not eat living creatures
2. Eat food/veg in the rawest state possible (cooking reduces the energy in the food*)
3. Do not use (a lot of) salt and this also reduce natural vitality in food
4. Drink lots of water (flushes out free radicals and toxins in your system) - this is mainstream scientific thinking.
Though I have to take Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D supplements. I went to my doctor last year and found I was deficient in B12 which was starting to cause anemia (I've been a vegetarian most of my life) and Vitamin D because I live in the north and don't get enough sunlight.

Re: Diet + Spiritual Wellbeing
Im sure it's been said but nothing beats green tea with a little organic honey, and NO sugar. (and for the record, organic honey is not just honey without additives. It has a completely different texture to it and tastes a lot better IMO.)
the more I learn about sugar, the more I want to stay the fuck away from it. does anyone know if there are any direct links in sugar consumption, and brain functioning or creativity?

Cool thread, I Also use a motorbike Forum, but you music production folk are so much more easy going and open minded.
Read through this whole thing, and thought I would add a couple things that haven't been mentioned.
In terms of what you can or cant eat. There is no perfect diet for the human, but there is a perfect diet for you, and perfect diet for me. Its a case of experimenting and finding what works best for you. Just because your lactose/meat intolerant, doesn't just mean your body cannot process this, it means your potentially really responsive with other kinds of food, you just need to find them. Only your body/mind can tell you whats working because of how it makes you feel, but if you feel the effects are marginal, and it is difficult to differentiate, this is where physical training comes in. When your pushing your body/immune system to breaking point, the results of nourishment appear more substantial.
However, there are some rules that we do share collectively. Blood ph level, for your blood to operate at its optimum rate its ph needs to be slightly alkaline. Everything we breathe, ingest, or what comes in contact with our skin, can effect our ph level. Most Salads/Fruit/Veg have an Alkalizing effect on our blood, Red meats are on the opposite end of the scale, Grains and proteins are acidic as well. Acidic doesn't mean bad, but a balance must be sought. There are lots of benefits with having your blood at the right ph level, and there's plenty about it on the web including charts to show you what levels particular foods are, just ask Google. Food Chemicals and pharmaceutical medicine are notorious for having an acidic effect on our blood.
Also the other rule we share, Food Combination. This is important because different foods digest at different rates. Constantly doing the wrong combination, can create stress and tension for the digestive organs, which won't be good in the long run. It also create more work for them, which isn't healthy if your body should be focusing on something else. For an idea on what combination's should and shouldn't be made, Have a look at this link http://www.thelifeco.com/makaledetayi.a ... ticle=1010

Also Worth noting, these rules may not apply to everybody. Some of us are built highly tolerant in general.
Re: Diet + Spiritual Wellbeing
great info here.
Also, some otherwise healthy foods are considered detrimental to meditation. Vedic cooking omits onion, shallots, leeks, garlic and the like because these foods are believed to cause distraction and make meditation difficult. And a rosecrucian mystic recently told me that he does not eat olives because the mess with his ability to find energy in the forest and such. i eat all those things, but it's worth looking into if your serious about meditating.
