IT'S FAIR to say that it's not just ITV that has taken some stick for some of their coverage at this World Cup, particularly the coverage of the tournament's lesser lights. The BBC have been getting it in the neck as well. To give you an example, what I'm talking about here is things like Alan Shearer's self-proclaimed "expert analysis" that amounts to a conveyor belt of cliches and the kind of insight that even a child of six would describe as laughable.

either way, it was very silly of him to get the card, it just adds insult to injury to suid-afrika...

i had such high hopes for my team, too.... now we have to beat France by 3 or 4, with two starters missing...

also, i'm embarrassed that some of the "fans" started rushing out of the stadium when it looked like we were going to lose... i understand it's cold, but that's not what true fans should do!!

I do hope South Africa can beat France tbh.

knell - we're going to have a tough one against France.

I think we can all be hopeful.

Was just typing about the South Korea goal just before the end of the 1st half as Higuain scored Argentina's 3rd! Looks like the teams are really picking things up after their 1st game which is very reassuring.

Messi. Fucking hell. That left foot follow up on the rebound to Higuain was insane.

The Korean chance in the second half should have gone in. Fuck knows why he used his left foot. He could have easily tucked that into the far corner.

Nice to see the games improving.

Such a step down in quality from the Argentina game. Both Greece and Nigeria are terrible. I've seen better games down the park. Stupid way to get sent off as well. What was he thinking?

Big match for France coming up. For their sake, they better step things up in this one.
