If you don't give you don't get, also put your tracks up on soundcloud or myspace or bandcamp or something so people can listen without having to download cos thats loooooong. :)

I've tweaked my song again now so the kick should hopefully actually have some punch this time!

hey guys, I wanted to post up the first tune I've made in a while (I recently moved to a different city, and it was a huuuuge burden).

I usually make sure to give feedback, but to be honest there wasn't really anything on the last few pages that was really my style, and I didn't think I could give adequate feedback on it. So I thought I would post my tune up, and will give feedback to anybody who gives some to me or asks me for feedback (I can do it in this thread or PM). People that have seen me in these threads before know I'm not a "post and run" type, I give proper feedback when the opportunity comes along.

Anyway, here it is:

Cool thanks man, I actually just reuploaded the full version for people to listen to so you can hear how the rest of the tune plays out.

Gave your tune a listen, I like how it starts out, but it all feels really rigid...the drums, the melodies, etc. Also, maybe link the different sections together, as it kinda sounds like a bunch of loops, and I can ALMOST hear the connection, but it's not quite there...but I can tell it's possible. Maybe that's what you were going for, so take it all with a grain of salt.

Obviously there are no 'rules' in music per se, so you can do what you like but I'm afraid that kick sounds AWEFUL! Theres a difference between making some things off kilter and putting swing in things like in 2step, glitch hop or even swing lol and just plain being out of time. The vocals sound really good as they are slightly off kilter and give a nice jittery effect but the kick is way out of time, it's impossible to dance to or listen to :( It definitely does *not* sound more natural. If you were looking to put things slightly off beat then I would make a fully quantized loop first that sounds nice and flows well and then take off all lock, zoom in loads and inch things slightly out of place...

I feel like I just sound like a bastard now, I'm not trying to diss, only to help.
na dont get me wrong lol, i didnt make it for people to dance to. i dont think i meant more natural but like... more disjointed, for the song to rock you instead of you rocking to the song, or something. my bad choice of words lol. maybe your used to listening to things that are grid enabled and in time, maybe its just me. anyway im a bit tired of explaining my music lol like i said glad to see your listening :wink:

@cloak and dagger - sounds tight, interesting sounds used but it gets a tad repetative. like the other guy said needs some more development

@noizy-parka - cool tune man. love the drums and percs, the switch up at 1:40 is sweet

@den5hion - didnt expect that drop. fat as fuck. only thing id change is drop that synth line 8 or 16 bars after the drop it gets a little repetitive and irritating. like the tune very much though man

@paravrais: feeling that hollow like wobble its very nice...track seems a bit repetitive after a while though. needs some extra flava if you ask me!!

@noizy...dope as hell. love the percussion, switch ups and lead. very very nice. and thanks for d/l :D:

@cloak: same thing noizy said. a switch up in the track somewhere would be go down very well. but it sounds dope, really warm sub and some very lush synths!!!

@Hakka...killing it as always!!

heres my latest track. feedback very much appreciated!!!

thanks guys...@ENNO, i think that track would be a lot better if you made the drums as weird and off-the-wall as the rest of the tune...

Which did you listen to? Cos the one I posted earliar in the thread i've slightly jazzed up now due to peoples comments but the one in my sig I wasn't planning on changing, maybe if it needs it though..? there are lots of subtle changes the whole way through but maybe not enough drastic ones earliar on??

Now onto your tune, love the samples and the build up around them, really sets the scene. The drops and little indent sections are all PHAT too, unfortunately I didn't really take to your midrange wobble, sounds like it's missing a layer or theres too much high end or something I can't quite put my finger on :s good tune though, i'm sure someone who plays that kind of set would drop it out.

You made it for people to want to listen to though surely? I listen to breakcore a lot of the time when i'm not listening to dubstep, so i'm used to things that havn't been made with the grid lock on lol, like I said before though, there's a difference between 'swing' or 'experimental' or 'disjointed' and just plain out of time. But I mean each to their own, if you don't care what other people think of your tunes then good on you but if you do then don't expect to get many people listening with drums like that :\

Please read the first post in this thread, your suppose to comment on at least 3 people's tunes before posting your own because a: nobody will give you feedback and b: it's rude not to. Considering you expect people to comment on 3 of your songs I would go for giving more than 3 feedback tbh...

@Sinisterbeats
Loving your samples and drum structure, with a nice ambient feel. I was hoping for a bit more variation at the break points though. Really nice flow though man, I'd listen to this again.

@Tripwire22
Always nice vibes from you brotha, I don't have much to say about this which is a shame, I really loved it though! I enjoy all your tracks trip.

@Cloak and Dagger
Some great sound choices in here but it was feeling pretty weak after the same loop played over and over man, give it some mixing!

I have two new tracks with Gwen Stefani in them, I've been loving her vox lately, can't seem to get enough! I posted these before, but they were erased after the shutdown.
I hope you guys can get some good vibes going from these, as I have :D
Let me know guys!

@ TheBreadMan - Cheers mate appreciate the support, will keep banging them out! If you want a 320 then just pop a comment on which track you want and i will fire the link over. Apart from this one im posting now, strictly for my bag and labels at the moment ;)

@ den5hion - Cheers, the sub is intentionaly like that to give it a bit of variety.
Necrofilia, intro is wicked, love the stabs and the sweeps. Its a bit loud on the old ear, love the switches on the drop. Got some nice synths in there. Great tune!

@ Noizy Parker - Taken your advice and sacked the matrix samples, wasnt very original! Thanks for the kind words.
Martian, Nice intro feeling the crunchy / glitchy blips. Bass sounds a little distorted, guitar samples in the background are nice, fits well. Bit more work and it will be a banger!

@ ENNO - Hahaha cheers dude, i try my best!
Nuerotoxin, nice percussion on the intro. Ergggggg drop is insane, bring that synth up a bit more, dont be afraid of it lol! Love the switches, you guys are making some awesome tracks, some really good producers on this forum!! Yoi! ;)

Right onto my new bit. Just finished this for release, waiting for someone to sign it so no 320's im afraid. Same tune as Impossible Mind but changed it round and added some diffrent synths and samples. Feedback appreciated, i will return the favour!

I'll post feedback on yours later, I'm heading to work in a minute so I can't listen at the moment.
