I really like what I hear on this one, it sounds balanced but yes it also sounds very Burial influenced which isnt a bad thing, if I was to be honest I would really like to hear that as the intro and then for the drums to become a bit more dance floor orientated maybe more in the style of Untold Dante or Just for you but still with the vocals, bassline and warm pads I think then it would work really well.

- Skriptah : nice man, Maybe your wobbles are abit too high pitched, try lowering em one or two octaves? You can always switch up to higher octaves which will give your bass more dynamics! Rest is still pretty in progress but it's a nice start!

- Boring: yeah ur missing alot of sub there but apart from that good job , maybe give your bass more power, it sounds kinda raw/unprocessed. Add some midrange to it maybe. Also (IMO) the pad you got going during ur bass part doesn't fit at all :D

- Bradicle: not bad, but im sooooo tired of hearing that bass you started out with, and the japanese theme music & gong didn't really fit good. also your high pitched wobble notes kinda seem out of place at some times.. just my opinion

- Crowd Control: Imo the first pad is too cheesy, the lead you brought in after your bass fits awesome. Really love the sound of it. Just don't detune it like you do at some points in your track! Rest is nice, tighten up your drums and it will be all good!

Started this remix today, tell me what u think ppl!

@ Triggy

I really like the way this track is going; the metallophone really makes the track sound Erie when it comes in under everything. I don’t know if it’s just me but I thought it lacked bass, however I am doing these feedbacks through Akg headphones and not my monitors. The samples fit well and everything fits to the overall theme of the song. I agree with everyone else about adding in some crashes and working on making the drop heavier, but there really is some good inspiration there.

@ Crowd control

I like the way this is going, I like the lead idea, maybe a bit repetitive with the same pads going through out, change it up and build it up to something. But very good work, nice one.

@ Skriptah

Good starting point, the sounds you got are good. Maybe a bit of structure, bring it back down and build it up again or something like that. But again a inspirational track.

I hope I don’t seem arrogant doing these seeing as I am technically a “Noob” but I thought it would be a better first post than asking you lot questions which have been answered a 1000 times on here.

I will hopefully have something I have been working on up later :D :t:

@reignz - I think it is good, but as far as I'm concerned the drop did not contain enough bass. It felt a little weak to be honest, maybe layer another not, say it was a F² note layer a F¹ or F⁰ underneath it maybe to make it a little fatter and bassier.

@bartcore - OMG! done by lots of people before, but not as good or with a drop like that, cannot wait to hear more!!

Was wondering what people thought of the intro to my track, I'm not sure whether it the percussion should come in slightly later?

@skriptah I really like that one, but maybe throw in a tiny bit of melody at the end of every 16 or 32 on the synth

@skriptah
solid track, im liking the way the main lead changes between being quite fluid and jittery
however id like some more on the low end, maybe a few incidentals which just hit those lower frequencies
too much mid atm.

@reignz
its sounding like a good remix, busy and lively!
as mentioned before, a more instense drop would be nicer,
have a little more suspense before and that should help.

@bartcore
sounds good, keep it up.

@boring
i like it, maybe a little less sample use and some EQing to tie everything together nicely,
but apart from that, i like what youve got.

- Obsidia: sounds evil man, finish this ASAP !

- Mortal: didn't really dig every wobble, maybe they're abit too slow for my taste. Imo you could do nice stuff you got a good idea just bass doesn't really fit in well. Also more percussion man, let your ideas flow :)

- NoirPantalon: sounds abit fuzzed, not alot of structure.. imo it would go great as intro if you tighten up your drums abit , have them stick out more (except the snare)

Took the tips I got from previous comments into consideration, newer version of my remix:

another track i've been working on... i posted earlier and have given feedback, but any feedback on this will be returned of course.

it's not in any way finished, just like a few hours work atm.. it's not finished, the mixdown isn't in any way done and i'm going to add something, maybe a vocal chop up, and it's all going to progress brilliantly (is the plan) - but yeah, let me know what you think, what you're feeling and what you're not.

@mortal - digging ur stuff dude aswell as this one, its deep! the tune continued in my head after it stopped but it switched up like a faster version of the bassline and snares going wild could be kick ass :D my feedback tho is u should try add more percussion and layer/eq the snare :) is gonna be a great tune!
still my favorite is shift :D

@reginz - i dont get it

@goldorak - man uve got some awesome stuff going in ur track that wob sub is just amazing the whole track makes me think of egypt. maybe thats on purpose? :) really liking it!
just one thing got to say, the snare sounded a little.. dry? i dunno., eq/layer fixes that tho!

@oscarhenson - nice! >excellent< work on the percussion! intro is just wonderful. loving the whole atmhosphere around your track its really peaceful yet exciting

so heres my latest threw together today
wasnt meant to be but it turned out as drum n bass instead after playing around with the amen break,
i havent been able to stop listening to it since i saved it i just find it amazing
just curious to know if others can dig this or if i just shall keep it to myself and finish it

@Mortal:
I really like the Phasing motions you got started mixed in with the kicks, adds a nice dynamic to the track. Maybe add in some more of those in a secondary / tertiary way? Get even more movement out of it, maybe based on the bassline.

@ObsidiaMusic:
Really nice Build up and Drop, I think your good on this one, just double the beat bring it up a bit and bang it out.

@reignz: Needs more baasss! Sick remix, but I have a deep feeling theres a need for more bass in this one.

@goldorak: Very smooth tune, I'd in a tremolo in a few places to that higher synth to add a bit more variation and give it more of that swagga

@oscarhenson: I really like the 'bell' sample you're playing with, i'd turn that into more of a pad in some spots to get some really nice prolonged exposure during the bass

@Crowd Control: Nice melody, very dubby, I'd put a huge drop in 2:45 and turn it into something really hard, maybe this is just me thinking of grime...

@Nacklewicket: Love the little hidden samples placed everywhere. I agree definitely turned out a bit DnB, but still has some dubstep qualities, maybe vary up the drum tempos a bit and play with that to get more out of it. May need a few more drops placed in there as well.

So this one is really WIP, but just thought i'd share what I've been working on lately. Needs drops, progression, definitely some sub bass, and in general needs to be longer (just a simple loop so far), but this is what I got so far from the other night:

This is my first song ive produced, using logic pro. May seem a tad repeatitive as I am waiting to record vocals for it, to add to it and still far far from finished. One thing is ive used a stereo spreader on the wobble and not sure if it sound weird? Also this is just a quick mix . I left feedback earlier and will leave feedback on peoples work who do so on mine.

Cheers :D

Well hey folks. This'll be my first time posting my creations here, harsh criticism and honest feedback is warmly appreciated...

Soundcloud
I'm no professional, take my criticisms with a grain or two of salt:

@Nacklewicket - Like that filtered squiggly synth intro! Kinda reminds me of some Silkie/Benga bits. Really like how long you waited to drop the rougher, saw-type bass, adds the variety I was hoping for around the 1:40 mark. That last drop (2:36) is the sweetest, consider bringing that out earlier in the song.

@NoirPantalon - I do like where the hand drums come in, it's a cool sample. As far as how it all fits together, there is some tightening up that needs to happen. Make sure your drum pattern syncopates nicely with your hand drum sample, otherwise it sounds a bit strange and cluttered.

@dav.id - beautiful track! love those warm pads that pulse in the intro. I think you could milk the intro even longer. The pitched vocal samples are sweet and are really nicely panned/delayed and what not. I agree with others who have suggested to really let the drums HIT at some point. The melody and mood of this song are fabulous though.

@Reignz - tuuuuuunnnnneee! Not usually a fan of the harder/saw rippage style, but you pull it off like a boss! Those swirly phased (i think?) synths in the beginning are awesome and trippy, I'd consider working them into the song somewhere else as well. Excited to hear the second drop...

@bluenotes - sounding good mate, I would add some reverb to some of the drum hits, apart from that its sounding well mate!

@Crowd Control - Loving the drums, very chilling tune! that high lead synth reminds me of Joker abit ! sick tune mate

@ oscarhenson - loving the work with the hats at around 1 min! coming along nice man! keep it up!

Started this one when I got in from work today and so far feeling it. Looking for some feedback on this one!
Levels may be off cos I'm using headphones so feedback on that would be great aswell!

@ jayzest, love that melody-nice and catchy-flows well. sub is almost non-existent though.

@ bluenotes, that is so chill man, nice first post :) This is just me I think, but I don't really feel like those particular vocal samples fit that vibe quite right- they seem too energetic maybe?

@ mattyseizure, interesting chords, that stereo effects feels weird on the ears. not bad for the first one man, keep it up. The longer breaks need something to fill in though, perhaps some effects of some sort to keep the ears busy.

and for like the 10 tracks before, you all are way beyond my skill and knowledge level so I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know lol :oops: . It all sounds excellent imo I will be checking back for some finished products :wink:

I've got a couple wips to share

@ reignz - i could see the synths being filtered out at 0:17 along with the drums leading up to the drop, but other than that it sounds awesome :)

@ goldorak - lovin the sub and the chiptune-sounding incidentals add alot more style..... is the lead synth a square wave? still tryin to train my ear

@ mattyseizure - sounds cool when use step sequencer on the wob...also you could prolly add another 8 bars of the riff at 1:45 before going back into the choral bit, interested to see what vocals you got in mind

@ jayzest - melody is really nice, and i like the panning with the bells...just needs more sub! :D
