... just sayin
and "leftys" don't count mein kampf as their favourite...
the izan's were left wing authoritarians on anyones political compass... "national socialist workers party" anyone...

On mine they were on the far right. Actually on everyone's they were on the far right.
'Left and right' are pretty meaningless terms in politics. Hitler's policies, social and economic, had more in common with Stalin's than with Ayn Rand's.

pretty much
i was just looking at rifles (been looking for one) and check out the sks out of curiousity
i could easily and legally turn it into a semi auto assault rifle with the only exception being i'd have to find a magazine manufactured before 94 if i want more than a 5 round mag (which i think is just a state law), and honestly if i was so inclined to use said rifle for something in the non legal sector i doubt that would stop me
oh and it'd be under a grand so not exactly expensive for an assault rifle
edit: oh and i can get the kits to do it on amazon for hella cheap too -w- http://www.amazon.com/Tapco-STK66169-OD ... d_sim_sg_5

I can't really remember any of it in detail but there was a definite point where he became far less socially orientated and more right wing.
may so be, but still, no "lefty" counts mein kampf as a fave which is what MikeE was implying

that also goes for the "communist manifesto"! <-- yet this is a fav reading for most liberal people.

I haven't read mein kampf since I was like 12, I can't even remember anything about it.

remember, charles manson was extremely left & malcom x was extremely right!

left's too radical, right's too radical, but watch out for those radical centrists, let's not forget them
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

I don't know what a "liberal" means in New Zealand as it can mean a myriad of very different political beliefs depending on wherever you are, but the Communist Manifesto is almost obligatory reading for anyone who leans a fair bit to the "left" on the political spectrum.

also, I don't understand how charles manson and malcolm x's political views have anything to do with this... ???

liberal is considered to be left (in my thoughts anyways).
the thing with the manifesto, most leftists aren't prepared for the extreme violence that is needed for marx's revolution.

charley & mal - I was just demonstrating that a persons political leanings mean fuck all, espesh considering the impact these 2 cats had.

the Communist Manifesto can be viewed as an analytical approach to the so-called "class conflict" and the general shortcomings of a capitalist system. You don't have to want to follow it verbatim to get something out of it.
