when do nintendo ever have problems? hell the 3ds was practically flash cart ready at launch
they focus more on having a good console and games than going after the homebrew community when their stuff gets hacked

and nintendo's online infrastructure has always been free and ran by minimal advertising which is nice, same with sony
microsoft is the only one who charges, and like i said earlier in this thread they bumped their cost up 10$ a year which i sincerely doubt is going towards server costs

hell even wii modding is easy, most of these systems downfall is that they no longer use custom cartridges or proprietary media formats, which make it easy

i wish companies would just give up on all the time and money wasted on drm, since at the end of the day nothing is hack proof

with all the drm they attempt to put into their games and firmware they store account info in plaintext

Even ignoring profit costs, console sales, in all likelihood, still crush PC (no way to know for sure since Valve doesn't release sales figures, but the player base is a pretty good indication imo).

As for the licensing costs, the lack of licensing for PC sales makes selling PC games for $60 even less justifiable.

there aren't many console mmos... those alone make up a largeeeeee profit base

yeah safe to say WoW has made more cash than any video game in history.

What about RuneScape?
Jagex must have made billions from macroers renewing their membership..
