BlizzardMusic wrote:Obviously, Pendulum gets a lot of hate after he did his tune 'Propane Nightmares' but you don't need to reflect that on every tune he makes. If you don't like his tune just say, but don't start saying 'Fuck Pendulum for life' and 'He should kill himself' and shit like that because thats just deep exaggerating. Fuck all the people that hate on his DNB. Tunes like 'Hold Your Colour' and 'Blood Sugar', or anything before his new album is O.K in my books, not amazing, but I would still listen to them.
they did herald in a soul-crushing era of structurally bewildering and horribly noisy drum & bass though, isn't that why most people hate them?

thats an irrelivant point..
anyways... Pendulum don't make shit music, I would say they're very good producers. Mind you I am not a huge fan of their music but I wont deny that they are well skilled in production. As artist they are free to do as they please musically. why does it matter who makes what, anyways, either you enjoy it or you dont and move on.

had to bump this... all the hyperemotional hatred is pure entertainment. some ppl on here are sounding like they have some deeply personal issues with these guys... which is just hilarious!! :D

other than that, the drums sound like the best benga cloning effort i've heard thus far... but benga in general, can't hear much of a similarity to 'night' other than the pitchbend down on the synth in the beginning. mids are too loud and the bass too low, but then again, that's how they mix all their stuff. after all, these guys haven't made anything subtle in a long time.

so yea, call me a 'dumbass', but i don't get what the problem is either!

bah, i dont give a fuck

anyone who likes good d&b hates penducunts anyway. its not like when pendulum is appended to something that people cant suddenly tell good music from shit.

this is shit breaks, not dubstep.

oh dear cant blame them though they must have just realised that dnb has a fuckin repetative drum beat and dubstep basslines are much heavier so what else does it have

i just think a lot of people seem to have issues to do with dubstep generally. i remember reading that someone was "destroying the scene" for uploading a recording of the kode9 burial untrue mix whilst the listen again thing was still up on the bbc website. i mean really? get a grip

i'd be the first to say i hate pendulum but you'd hope that dubstep is strong enough to stand up to the terrible onslaught that it's going to take from the fact pendulum have made a dubstep tune

yes that was sarcasm if any of you didn't get it. need a disclaimer on everything these days....

Also, surely this is nothing in comparison to how it eventually will be? Like it or not if it continues growing at this pace it will become more commercial. That doesnt mean that the good stuff wont still get produced but there will definately be that side to it. Just ignore it. Pendulum wont be around that much longer anyway. They seem to be more into the money than the music which genually leads to rich early retirement..... hopefully...

yeah, i agree it is inevitable, look at 501 dubz, not saying i dont like his stuff, but dub you is pretty much how i thought pendulum would do dubstep before i heard this
also don't even compare this with rusko, rusko has alot more goin on

i disagree, 501 has much more going on than pendulum and i could never see pendulum making a tune like dub you...
