Yea although i still really like the track its getting to a point where I have to ask myself "will I realistically drop this in a set" and it's been so rinsed the truthful answer is probably not anymore.

Battle Suit is a sick song. To me it's proper serious and a song that comes across as "This is my song, like it or leave it". It's a no messin' song.

Serious tune, literally.

tbh, i would have said that was a good thing. theoretically keeps things moving all the time and then in a few months/years, if it really does stand the test of time, then it stops being another rinsed-to-death tune and becomes a 'classic'. no?

definitely, the speed in which tunes come out/ are rinsed/ gain classic status mean the UK scene moves along at a rate that keeps things interesting.

Its kind of a shame that the tune has taken so long to come out, if only that it creates a situation where smaller-time DJs who want to play the tune are actually playing out the little minute and a half clip off the internet. I've heard this happen multiple times, and its too bad because its just half the song, and its not full quality. If I made a tune that was getting this kind of attention I would probably be more stoked than anything else, but I would be bugged that people wanted my music so bad that they were willing to play shit versions of it in front of people because they simply can't get the real thing.

I'm all for dubplate specials, but it sucks when tunes stay unreleased for too long. Either bring it out while its hot or just don't release it. I can only imagine all the delays and hassles involved with this, but that's the biz... At this point I'm buying the plate for Angie Got Stoned because it hasn't been so overplayed. Big up Emalkay and the Dub Police fam.

Oh and Battle Suit is fucking ridiculously good. I sincerely hope it doesn't suffer the fate of When I Look At You.
