Sizzla - Freedom Cry LP.. 1998 dancehall. it bangs. one of my fav albums.
and Madlib's blunted in the bombshelter mix is a good introduction to dub.

I'd talk to clifford tho, he's the iriest geezer in the snh by a mile.
I'm not huge on the dub n tings, I prefer the sounds of Trinidad..

my point is don't sample jamaican shit for the sake of it. digidub got played out years ago.

and yeah king tubby is out of this world.

actually do whatever you want. there is no rules :4:

That's an awesome tune, thanks for that!

Yeah I actually was mainly looking at people talking about soundsystem and stuff because it works well with the track I'm making and their Jamaican accents just sound COOL 8)

I just started a few days ago, so far I'm loving the likes of Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby, got any suggestions?

Just go there and spend all of your money, 7" records are possibly the coolest things on the planet.

About that, and this may be a stupid question, but how does that work with those record with those large holes in the middle? Can you play those on a regular deck, or do you need something to hold them on the deck and keep them from slipping?
Like I said, probably a stupid question, but I've always hold off on buying them because I wasn't sure if I could actually play them

they have big holes in because they where originally made for jukeboxes way back when in the stone ages  You can get little plastic holders which keep them in place (some second hand 7"s i've got in the past come with them), or turntables usually come with some in, normally in the top left corner.

Ah ok, thanks haha :d That clears things up a bit.

Don't think my turntable came with something like that though...

He can't, I have too much shit on him and to replace my skill-set would cost him double.
