I know that feel. I usually just take 2 steps back and drop everything, and wait until I'm ready to continue being human again. I've been told my whole life that I'm smart and that I'll succeed, but the position I've been placed in by myself and my environment has oppressed me so much from wanting to do anything with my life. My only real dream is to make music for a living, but since I'm shit at that then who knows what. Might just go to college for accounting and best case scenario get stuck with a job I hate, worst case scenario drown in debt forever.

i like to sing but no one needs a singer who can't write their own shit, same time it's still the only thing i have consistently stuck with, i guess cos i always have my voice.
nothing will come of it though. i just dont have the drive or interest or talent in anything enough to pursue it.
my work history/experience is practically nonexistent, everything reasonably difficult i have tried at i was either ill during it or lazy. with the result that i look, and am, utterly weak and incapable.

I think it makes sense. How does an unemployed 20-something geek med student afford and acquire $20 thousand+ in armor and weaponry? Or set up an elaborate booby trap like that? ALIENS!! But really, I'm not one to buy into conspiracy theories but this is making my skin crawl.

Oh I think it definitely makes sense. And I don't necessarily think you need to believe in conspiracy theories to know that governments are all sorts of corrupt. I'm not so surprised tbh.

I'm the exact opposite on that haha. I can write pretty good lyrics but I can't sing publicly. Don't like my voice one bit. Guess I could take Bob Dylan's act then .
I'm a good worker, but I'm lazy. I've only ever worked under the table, and nothing significant. In addition to my attitude of being real and not being nice to people I hate, I really don't think I'll last in a job. Oh I know I won't because I have the charisma of a dead animal . I'm a very good speaker (like giving speeches, performing for people, etc.) but it's weird because when I talk personally to someone, my charm disappears completely. I start stuttering sometimes because I think too quick and talk too fast. My teachers have been begging me to go into law, but I'm not into that stuff (I do have dignity still). Reverse stage fright I suppose.
