Like horror movies or for real.... like that rotten . com website ? I honestly don't get people who dont find that stuff a bit distressing. I get why you might want to prank someone with shocking and offensive shit (just barely) but people who are "into gore" are just sociopaths. Faces of Death, extreme hardcore wrestling, fake snuff films, gore sites, the content disturbs me much less than the fact that people are making, distributing and enjoying this stuff.

Its mostly young people who have just discovered the internet and their curiosity takes them to these places, otherwise they are fucking messed up.

The first one is just a bloke stacking it, plenty of those in this thread so far.

The man getting hit by the car is a fake...it was part of a viral campaign for checking winter tyres - http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/reporter.asp . Surprised any of you ninjas fell for that
So using that logic are gifs of fake tits ok?

it's purely curiosity, I think the amount of people that actually watch gore and enjoy it is tiny, they just use it as shock factor on image boards and clearly it works.

I'm curious but I'm not sure I want to search it... what are 'Faces of Death'?

what are 'Faces of Death'?

Series of faux documentaries from the 1970's with a ridiculously cheesy voice over. There's was a load of fuss about them because people thought the footage was real.

I guess the curiosity plays a part in it, but you get fans of gorey movies, violent anime and that extreme wrestling stuff (which i find more disturbing because wrestling is presented as real) and they are industries for this sort of thing - movies like Hostel for example, not counting the less mainstream ones that essentially entirely revolve around the gore. I found people who are really into that stuff to be incredibly immature, i mean when we were 14 a lot of us thought violence was fun and funny, but as you got older you sort of get more sensitised. Not in a "omg you pussy its just fake blood" way but in a "this isn't something a normal human being should be enjoying" way.

Anyway, less grim, more gifs.
