Yeah, nowhere near as much as I thought they would go for, considering the size of that queue. Was surprised at how few people stayed for the auction, maybe about 10-15 people actually bidding.

It was my first time in London, and the market/auction was the first thing I did in the city. Managed to bag Western at the auction for 40 and the test press of Swamp001 for 15, even got to chat with pokes for a couple of minutes after the auction. And when I went to BM Soho after, they put it on the system there. I spent way too much money, but I feel like I'll be one of the only people to own these records in Toronto.

I'm not trying to judge anyone (but I'm gonna) but there were some fully suspect girls with a guy who got one in the queue, really would be surprised if they own a turntable, overheard one of them looking back at the queue and saying "some of these people are going to get the thing, are they.."
I heard a girl say she didn't know why she was queuing she was just with her boyfriend when someone asked what the que was for

I don't remember SWAMP001 going for auction... I thought it was ASBO001... or did I imagine that... or did both go up??? :corntard:

EDIT: oh wait, you meant you bought SWAMP001 from the stall earlier

Yeah, Pokes showed up towards the end of the auction, and signed a Swamp81 t-shirt that was going up for sale

Nope, I bought Swamp001 test press at the auction. Kind of wish I would have put in a bid on the DMZ test press though.

Fuuuck swamp 1 was what I was after aswell :/
I thought the signing was so its personal and "devalued" it for reselers.

not sure how i feel about loefah signing stuff.
i guess it must be a nice feeling for the guy to come from the massive musical slump he was in a few years ago, to havin g fans coming and wanting him to sign stuff n shit. personally i juswt prefer to have a chat with people like a nomral person. never been one for licking peoples feet or whatever that phrases is

kissing toes??

i dunno man

So confused! Dunno why I thought it was ASBO001, but kinda glad it wasn't now, cos I've been regretting not bidding on it

The way I feel about the whole signing thing is... well I'm never gonna sell my copy of Western, I'm gonna keep it til I'm an old man (fingers crossed). And by that time, my memory might be so fucked that I won't remember anything about anything... so that sig by Loefah on the sleeve is a nice little reminder of a particular time in my life, and a bangin day at the market :D

Nah there was a copy of asbo1 aswell as a white label of swamp 01 aswell as the dmz 05 white label you purchased aswell as the mean streets part 1 and part 2 white labels.

All went for pretty cheap aswell.

Didn't catch how much your dmz went for though..

Don't see what's so wrong about signing; have a lot of respect for Loefah imo runs one of the best labels about and it will be a nice little reminder of a whole period of my life. If getting something signed upsets a 'truhed' an makes me a loser fanboiiy then i can deal. ugetme
