See that main snare, any chance you could send me the sample? It's really meaty, and my snare sample all sound really weak.

@Redjuan: Snare is a bit too loud compared to the rest of the track. Other than that it's a pretty solid track.

@Hakka: Very nice. It's definitely dark. I really wasn't feeling that hi pass sound you used, it just kinda stood out a bit too much I think for my taste. Everything else really came together quite well though.

@Njamimars: The wobble really starts to get quite boring after awhile. Should definitely switch up that sound every so often.

@Nruen: Not a bad track. Kinda got a bit tired of the wobble towards the end though.

@Zonetrooper: It sounds a bit out of sync with the vocals, to the point where it's relatively noticeable. The vocals don't really seem to fit well with the actual music, but this could just be down to preference.

I had originally started this for the current DSF Sample Pack Competition but I ended up never finishing it. I think it might just sound to similar to some other tracks and that's really why I stopped. Thinking about finishing it anyway though.

[Edit]: Blah, all the bass is gone, damn you soundcloud it sounded much better in FL. Guess I'll do a quick re-edit later and see if I can't bring that bass out a bit more.

Still new to this. I gave up producing a few months back and decided to give it one more go. I will return the favor for any constructive criticism.

Also, I know its kinda plain right now. I have a lot of ideas to put in this but Im not sure where I should begin with them.

@shanekenton: Sounds like a good start. Tidy up the filter on the bass at the end of your bar. Seems a bit out of place to me, unless perhaps you can get another instrument in there to fill it out?

Here is something I've been working on for a bit.
Got stuck last night so any ideas would be great. :)

I like this one, the melody reminds me of System F's Out of the Blue

@ JBE - Nice one bruv, have brought the hi pass in a bit so it swings with the bass nicely and added some vocals over the top. Sounds good now. Cheers for checking

Did you mean me with the snare thing? It's two layerd snares (both from the meanbeat sample pack). On the mixer theres a tiny amount of distortion, and a transient shaper to tighten up the attack. It's not too difficult once you get a couple of samples that aren't muddied by your bass sound :)

I'm quite new to dubstep production and would appreciate any constructive criticism. How can I make this tune sound better?

Thanks in advance

Geeza: Nice drums, nice intro, not feeling the out beat vocal at all tho, better lose it. And do something about the clipping.

slink: Really love the bass sounds and arrangements. You should make the drums louder imo tho.

SesG: feeling the vibe, and the chords. Would work on the drums tho.

could use some comments and critique on this, thinking of going back to this one, because of my current writers block.

Cheers for that, will give it a shot! I really need to find the 'perfect' dub snare and save it when I have one.

Cheers for the comments guys - with the drums was it the actaul drum sounds that people had a problem with or the rhythms? I realise they don't evolve much with the track, so was that it?

@ JBE - Your track sounds heavy man, maybe get a reverse crash on the drop, would work a treat. Bass is nice and crisp as are the drums. All round good track mate!

@Danny; sounds solid bro, arrange an intro and a drop and it'll be just fine. Also fatten up that bassline, the sound is there it just needs to be alot thicker

@Snift : ur drums are fucked man, get some rythm in your tune they sound all random to me... rest is okay

@JBE : nice , but with such a damn epic intro im expecting the biggest drop in western world ;) add that , some bass variation and it's gonna be killer

@Brisance: sounds cool man, not really diggin the higher pitched sounds but thats more preference. Sub needs some work though :)

99 Problems remix from me, there's some arrangement flaws in it but this is the big picture:

Soundcloud

on NG cause soundcloud doesn't work...

Cheers for the comments guys.... Was kinda going for dubstep/wonky hip hop vibe so the drums are a bit random but u can still kinda wonk to them to think haha.
