oh my gosh people... :o

absolutely huge night, and i'm so glad you all were feeling it. i don't even know where to start so i'll try and make it brief!!!

big thanks to everyone who came, and to the djs. large ups to all the people who asked me 'are you heva?' then gave me a big hug. you make a girl feel appreciated.  that was the best part of doing this party, meeting all you lot in one go. out to everyone i talked to! got stuck on the door, we were short on crew, so didn't catch any sets after chef... but i think its safe to say that n type's set was probably huge, and when i snuck down while bracket was on, it was madness! and it was nice to talk to people on the door all happy after they left.

are we doing another one? maybe in a few months! the feedback from our crew was that it was excellent BUT we hope that you guys really did feel something at that party that was more than some club night and understand at least a bit about the squat / free party culture. next time we're not going to be so easy on you, and really push you to experience more of this. i hope this night will have inspired some of you to want to throw parties yourself -- if there are any of you who, as has been said, really believe that squat parties and dubstep go well together, because they share similar values/culture/vibes/whatever, we're willing to show you the ropes next time so you can do you own. if you want to DIY and help with finding buildings, opening them, legal issues, dealing with police, building soundsystems, etc., get in touch with me and i'll put together a crew for next time, or have you around for a meeting to talk about the next one. its a tonne of work, but i would be really happy if, as i say, this party inspired some of you to want to do these parties yourself and as abacus has been doing these parties for years, we're happy to pass on the knowledge to grow the scene.

anyway thanks again! and cheers to blackdown for the review, that was excellent to read.

(oh, and its jokes that you all were on about the clock. its now sitting in our basement, we left the building yesterday, and i'm about to go snake it for myself, for the memories! )

oh yea and sorry about loefah, poor man was sick with a flu! so i told him to drink some tea instead. we were lucky to have chef step up to plate with a HUGE set, thanks to that man for saving the day! loefah's promised to do the next one, so watch out for that.

Hah! Big up to Dan from Tokyo-- you is a G and 4linehaiku who was representing with us at bloc last week.. not forgettin Nathan who cracked me too much joke... plus all those other heads who couldnt resist screwing up their faces to the bass.

Cheers Heva, you is a legend for sorting out this one.

P.S.. If anyone clocked a lost bag--a small drawstring fabric patterned bag, with my drivers license in it and other sentimental shit.. if you happen to clock it and get it back to me id be in your debt!!
Big up to yourself zahra (and of course farrah), you were still skankin it `eyes to the floor business` raw even after you lost the bag. Sorry i became a bit a bit of a mongoloid as the night went on, a mix of jetlag, booze, endorphins (aka. natural high), some other stuff then that other stuff we found in the hallway. Here`s hopin next time will be slightly less monosyllabic.

Big up to heva, this was a monumental night. I just got back from a year in japan last tuesday so this was essentially my `welcome back to london dubstep party`....can u possibly imagine a better reintroduction???
Venue was spot on and the system smacked it. The ceiling was nice and low so we were surrounded by sound and the crowd vibes were rockin it.

Big up to mat, it was a pleasure to speak to you properly here in London, and again, was a bit sparked on friday so i hope i get to chat to you properly some time, perhaps at fabric, not sure if i`m gonna reach yet mate.

Big up to Boomnoise, you kept me well entertained during the walk from 1001 to the squat. Hope you feel ok by now mate.

Big up to my sister for getting us a minor discount on the door for back in the day being the babysitter of the girl taking money on the door (heva??), and also for getting fired from that babysitting job for introducing the girl to her first spliff.

Big up to all the dj`s throughout the night. You all ripped it on various levels, each bringing a different vibe to the proceedings.

Big up to the mastiff. Your time.

Big Up to Heva and the Abacus crew, that was absolutely spot on! I took a couple of mates along who haven't been to a proper dubstep night before. Watching there faces when tracks like chest boxing and 50,000 watts dropped came on was priceless.

When we turned up we couldn't hear anythiong outsode and assumed that the system couldn't be up to much. how wrong we were. It was heaving sweaty bass box and it blew our minds. :P

RESPECT!

this was cool, i like squat partys. summers coming so hopefully there should be a few cool outside partys to get to. i like raves but i dont like dnb, techno, psy trance, breaks etc etc. so this could be a great summer.

the people pushing to get in at the gate where dicks. everyone inside was lovely tho, guess they where just excited...

Yeah the Check it / Burnin douple drop was particularily nuts. Anyone who went to FWD first missed out on some good stuff. Who was on before DJ T?

Gotta put my 2 pence in here and say what a great party Friday/Sat morning was. Didn't reach until 5:30am and N-Type was slammin' it, big respect...looking forward to your set at Plex mate. That last track was deep.

Bracket delivered the jungle of old, heaviness. Nice one b.

On another note, i gotta say i'm feelin' the Dubstep illegal scene, it reminds me of what London Free parties used to be like in the mid 90's before it all went proper wrong both musically and vibe...

Keep it up Heva and crew, I can see this kind of thing getting bigger and bigger. I'll be at the next one for sure.

The guy before me was Easychord i think.

First off, props to Heva and the Abacus crew, good solid work, sick venue, madness

secondly, apologies for my horrendous state of disrepair- the heat made me feel more fucked, and by the time id fininshed my set i felt like i'd lost a coupla of stone!

few mixups with cd deck etc hence the lack of too much new macabre stuff, plus a car was a bit late gettin down from Bedford so it was all madness, but not to worry ay, was still vibes- we managed!!

big up everyone who caught a cd aswell, plenty were dished out...

still hanging today, ended up doin an all nighter Saturday aswell... -r-

Big ups for the positive feedback!

Chef, 9 and N-Type urkled it up, definately some messy people inside haha

more please!

Def up for learning about this heva

Got a small 5k system at the moment but haven't got up to much mischief with it yet.

Not in London, but down there pretty regularly.
