@Conflux: Solid, solid production mate! Love the drums and the background pads! Only thing i can think of is
maybe give the track a bit more bass. Sounds a bit empty in the low register for me. But overall, very very nice!
Love it!

@Asterix: Lol those robo samples are so recognisable. I know all the vids you sampled em from :p.
So many people trying to rock the robostep nowadays.
Not really feeling it mate. Sounds way too dry. Really fruityloopy vibes there mate =/. Only thing i could get into
was the little kick rush before the drop. O well, better next time! Chin up.

@Reign: Brutal as usual man! Drop is lovely! You inspire me. Only thing i couldn't quite get into was the little breakbeat
@ 0:55. I hope you can get this released mate, give the masses what they want :). Keep it up and see you
on saturday i guess ;)

This is a preview of my latest track. Was a bit tired of making gloomy atmospheres. So this
is some jolly dubstep. "Skastep" if you wish :) Would love some feedback.

#Traffikz

well produced. but I gotta be honest, the intro is very cheesey and I dont think it's enjoyable. the drop is sick as hell, but the melody you use is really lame tbh. take some time and write a nasty tune. hope you don't take this feedback too personal! cheers :)

Reignz: I like, although I think it could be improved. I think you need to turn down the kick slightly, also I think the track as a whole needs a little more rhythm to it, although, thats just my opinion. I like a lot of the sounds that you have made, although the main 'wobble' wasn't my favourite of them, it has a bit too much 'fizz?'. Keep it up.

Asterix: I think I have to agree with basically everything Conflux said. Potential but still needs a lot of work!

I haven't posted a track in here for a while now, so I thought I would update you with something new.

@ TRaffikz: sound very great. but yes, the melody is really lame:l
@ ObsidiaMusic: waaat. sick tune, but i don't like that drop, everything else is ok imo.
@ reignz: good producing, but i would create the melody something else. sometimes the bass melody is really boring in that tune.

btw here is a newer version of my track, i think i finished it. feedback pls

Obsidia - Nice intro, fairly good mix but you need more sub! Nice range of sounds, not specially my cup of tea but definetly see where your going. Drums could be given a bit more room too!

Reloukkz - Nice drum rythm. Snare needs to punch through more. Cool structure but make the intro more coherant. Nice atmos hits too.

Reignz - Nice synth sounds as usual. Doesnt groove too well for me though. Production pretty pro though as usual. Needs a slightly more coherant melody IMO.

typing while listening + after the whole listen

#JayZet
wow..... really impressive ambient and atmospheric intro!!! not really what I listen to, but I think it sounds very pro :) the drop is nice too :) really cool effects and percs! cheers

#jaspervc
really nice intro... sweet rise you got there! I like this kinda filthy stuff, but this is a bit too loud and too much for me! nice ideas though, I like the melody... but maybe have some variation with other leads and basses! and I notice the kick is quite weird? I'd say go for a more simple one :)

#reloukkz

really nice start of a song! maybe raise the startvolume a bit. the sample is funny, haha he is a ginger like me :P the drop is well structured! a bit datsik style on this :) I think that one of the leads are too noisy though! and it feels like something's missing... but definatly a good track mate! nice production :D i enjoyed the whole listen.

#obsidiamusic

I like that guitar(?) in the very beginning. nice build up and the sample is very good. drop is different, and that is very GOOD! works perfectly and this was damn filthy. thanks for the listen, best track today! :D cheers :D:

now, over to my finished production! been posting some other versions of this track but thanks to your feedback and a 100 more listens, I am finally done with my remix of Notorious B.I.G. - Party and Bullshit . I'm really happy with this production and I hope some of you will apprciate it aswell. -w- Drop any feedback on Soundcloud and feel free to download the track! :D

@superginger - party and bullshit.....Well produced as always mate. Good track and good work with the vox. Only thing i'd do if the track was mine, is turn the bass down after the break a little. Drowns out the kick....but I try not to criticise others mix downs anymore cuz it really is a matter of taste. Some like massive bass, with little kick impact, others like the kick banging through. Wicked guiter sound...nice filter work on it too.

@superginger...Back off.......I love the bass on this! This is a great example of how bass should be when loud. It's got a massive impact, full as fuck, not overpowering in the mid range so it doesn't start fuckin with the rest of the sounds. I really like this actually. Nice little chops left right and centre. Spot on. Structured nicely and breaks down really eerily. Nice kick drum too. Do you change the velocity on it??? Sometimes it sounds more impactful than others?? Nice track mate.

@Obsidiamusic...we burn.....I like this track mate...good structure and the perc is great. Kick is nice and deep....in my opinion the noises are great, but a little too loud....they merge into each other well, but some of them blast your ears a little.....which is good, but in a big club with the vol maxed up, this may turn the track messy. Good filter work too and combination of samples is great. Good stuff.

All really great tracks though. My feedback is only my own taste. If I hit nerves...I apologise. I'm far from an expert. Peace out.

Any feedback on this remix would be great!!

Conflux wrote: @debaser How you make that first bass synth dude? Is it one of the waveforms in massive? I think those cymbles and hats could be louder and more power in the snare It sounds a bit dry to me. Good job overall though. Enjoyed it!
Cheers man, It's A malstrom in reason, the 'electronik' wave, and it has motion applied to give it that movement :)

Any more feedback on my track ion the sig below people? I know I'm being cheeky there ;)

#Pete Miles

Party and bullshit - I kinda like it when itäs massive like this :P so yea as you said, totally a preference thing^^
Back off - No I dont change the velocity in the track.. maybe it is because of the different sounds and the variation of the drumwork?

Anyways, I'm really really glad and honoured by your feedback. It's so fun to produce when you get feedback like that :D

Now onto your track.
ok, I don't write this because of the wonderful feedback you gave me, I really mean this: Sick fucking killer mate... the drop gave me goosebumps and it's NOT many songs which gives me it... I just love the way you kept the rough ideas of the track, but then how you PIMP'dized it with your personal style. those wobbles are really excellent, and the structure of the song is fine.

the only thing I really think you could improve to next time is the snareroll. it seems well mixed and so, but it drops in quite randomly imo. maybe have it a bit longer but in the start your automate a lowpassfilter or something?? :) the beat snare was ok but a bit muddy, not really how I like them.

but yea mate... totally downloaded and I'm so gonna abuse this in my ipod. sick track mate..

@superginger- wow thanks for the great feedback mate. I'm glad you didn't think I picked at points...it's like I said, mixdowns really are pointless as points of criticism....unless the levels are waaay out, which yours aren't....plues, my speakers really are rubbish, so it more than likely sounds great on yours and other peoples. Also I meant what I said about the bass in your track. I'd keep that one close to your chest mate. Some people may think it's 'just another sub'....but it's clear and solid...not muddy at all....which is pretty hard to make.....and if it WAS 'just another sub'....then everyone's bass would have that cleanliness then wouldn't it??? but it doesn't. It's great actually, cuz the people who seem to be in this forum at the mo, seem to be able to give feedback that actually works and helps. I'm likin it.

My snare rolls are exactly how you said....which is great you said it actually....It's a known fault of mine which I really need to break away from. My old trance and hard house days seem to have imprinted them into my mind and tunes!!!...They annoy me too!! LOL.

Thanks again mate and I'll be keeping an eye out for your new stuff!

@jaspervc Everything sounds cool, but I'd maybe add some more voices/sound effects in the background to make it sound more full

@JayZest I like the ambience, maybe compress/layer the kick more to add more punch, but that's up to you (also my sub might be having issues so maybe i just can't really hear it).

@rhek: cool stuff! I like the 3rd verse (well, what starts at 1:24) so maybe if you expand upon that, that'd be awesome. Plus the synths are tight!

Here's what I've been working on
Soundcloud
A friend recommended me to sample the movie, now I really want to watch it :P

Hopefully someone with a good sound system can tell me how the EQing went, because I can't really tell, also, is the subbass loud enough?

@ObsidiaMusic We Burn - Sick track, well produced... kinda my ting but also not really, I feel it lacks sub. If your giving mp3's i'd love to stick it in a set mate!
@ Pete Miles Katy B remix - I'm a sucker 4 the original and i feel this 1 too dude, just needs a bit more puch imo... good stuff tho!
@TRaffikz hear me calling - Good track, wicked samples 2, think the mid range bass could come down a tad n the sub up a little, makes me groove tho, any mp3's on that 1 going?

Keep it up ppl!

Hey, so I got some flames when I posted my track as its own thread earlier.

I'M SORRY TO WHOM I HAVE OFFENDED BY BEING A BIG NOOB.

I'd like a second chance. I have read your charters and constitutions and I think I know now how to properly conduct myself.

I listened to some tracks and I have prepared a bit of feedback :)

@Debaser: definitely getting this riding around town at night on a waterbed vibe. that bassline rolls real nicely, and the ambient synths are such good flavour.
Drop at 1:55 is pretty epic, love the realistic cymbal sounds, reminds me of some post-rock music. Love it!

@Johnst: love the intro with the jazzy swings. it's all in the hips. the organ sound is gorgeous. not 100% sure I like the direction it goes in with all the edginess
at 1:20... i felt like it had its own thang going on and then it took that deliciousness away for something more stock. I like the track though, regardless of genre.

@maxtone: i like the rhythms you have going on with some drums/perc i THINK i hear, but it's hard to detect some of the subtleties in the music with the relentless shredding
midrange. when it breaks down around 2:20, it's be nice to hear some more of that. i should however avoid placing too much judgement, i don't listen to a lot
of the heavier stuff. I'd say if I heard this played out, I would probably get my jump on, though =)

:4:

ok here's mine. somebody said all my sounds were old-ass and not fresh or new or anything at all. my wish is not to be a totally generic suckerfish, so if you like it, say so, if not, well tell me how you think it can be improved. i'm pretty new at this and constructive feedback would be very helpful to my development :D

This just in: slow & heavy dubstep. A work-in-progress, so if you can, please provide feedback. Listen up!

@ wobbafet
sick man, fuck what other people say! it has got a wicked vibe. reminds me of the intro song before the game on one of the grand theft auto's with all the lead arp pluck thingers... forget which one. My thought tho is it needs more sub, a nice sine way to pump some low bass :D

@ daddmchectic

good work man like the drums, sounds like some very nicely edited amen breaks. got a good sub bass, but maybe turn down the ride just a smidge. I think this could benifit from some 'anticipation drops' at the the end of each phrase... like cutting everything but a certain element and then bringing it all back in at the start of the new phrase just to break it up a little more. keep it up :D

@ djwom
diggin the dub vibes, nothing that really sticks out in my mind that needs correcting... maybe try a big verb ? it would be interesting to see how much space could be fit into the mix. :W:

Here is something of mine that I made earlier this year...finally got around to mixing it and posting it... enjoy :D
