There's loads of releases that have been dodgy recently, feel cheated. Although I have not checked the vinyl, I can only assume the same issues are occuring.
Agreed. [CRUNCH011] was really dodgy for me. It's not that there isn't a lot of bass or anything, but it just sounds......like...weird, not enough treble maybe, it sounds kind of watery.
Also, Coki's - Don't get it twisted EP sounds fucking HORRIBLE! I honestly can't even listen to it, it's truly painful to listen to, literally hurts my ears with the screeching. There is absolutely NO bass on the record.

Shame about Crunch011, especially considering how excellent the mastering on his previous Wheel & Deal releases were. The intro on Manipulate sounds weird, and the general mixdown on the two tracks are quite flat. However I can't stop playing both tracks as they are long time percys, which makes it all the more annoying.

I thought the same about The Roteks too, and even ruffhouse. Projector and Eastern Bloc however sound amazing

I think J Kenzo's Tempa Releases sound good, both are mastered well and always sound powerful when I use them for DJing. I do however have issues with his release on Tuba Records (Nocturnal Feelings).

^^see I'm the opposite - for me nocturnal feelings sounds punchy and powerful, yes the sub content is low in the mix but that is a creative choice by the artist. Tunes like Hunted and the Roteks sound squashed & muddy, and lack potential power and impact with damaged transients.
I'd like to hear a mastering engineers input
