monsters are putting out some ridiculously heavy bassweight at the moment. What are they doing to get basslines like in Vylex's xtermin8? and this one may be simple, but how are they making their sub so powerful and punchy, mine always sound a bit weak.

I talk to Vylex on occasion and know he uses Sytrus for his basslines, automating every peramater is key really, there's a thread on here about badklaat basses that had a tutorial for massive, I'm not sure if it's any good though, I use Reason.
As for the subs, trying laying a low volume, low octave saw for some extra strength and weight to your subs

Anyone able to shed some light on recreating the bass sound at 27 seconds in Reason's Malstrom?

sounds like a couple of saws at different octaves detuned a little with distortion and chorus modulated by a slow lfo didnt use reason but got somewhat similar results

I've been trying to recreat the main synth from SBTRKT's Pharaohs.
It kicks in at 0:16. Anyone?

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW TO MAKE WOBS LIKE THESE... I ASSUME THAT ITS ENV-CUTOFF AND MAYBE BP INSTEAD OF LP OR A BLEND OF THE TWO WITH HIGH RESO BUT I DONT KNOW IF THERES A KEY FOLLOW ON THE RESO OR VELOCITY OR WHAT THE FUCK. THESE ARE SOME REALLY GOOD, SUPER OLDSKOOL BADMAN TYPE SOUNDS AND I SUGGEST THAT WE COLLECTIVELY FIGURE THESE OUT BECAUSE IT WILL BENEFIT US ALL! ITS THIS WEIRD KNOCKY TYPE BASS SOUND.

or this similar one....

I thought about just asking doomtrooper on aim but i dont want him to freak out thinking that im just trying to jock his swag. Ive gotten a close sound in Zebra2 and also with FAW Cicle but I pretty much have most plugins everyone else has (massive, albino. predator, etc...) Kinda reminds me of some old Others or some shit from that golden age and I wanna bring it back because I'm so tired of hearing the same buzzy, modern talking nonsense that everyone seems to be on. I will truly appreciate help with this and will gladly give you a pack of really fire originals and other "dungeoney" type tunes that I'm sure few people have but need to hear

Made a pretty similar base of the sound in massive,
-attitivimix1 (wt position at 100%)
-bandpass filter : reso at 50%, bandwith at 0% and the cutoff at 9 o'clock, with an envelope pushing the blue up to about 1 o'clock
-classic tube ( d/w and drive both around 11:30
-enveloppe: attack at 9 o'clock (level 100%), decay 50 % (level 90%)
-gently add in some reverb to taste.
Also try putting a macro to modulate the filter as well as the envelope, so you can control it for about 10% up and another for 10% down. Automate in those slowly to get that rising/ dropping feel :D

Hope this helps!!

If someone could help with the dubsidia bass i posted above it would be greatly appreciated.

Someone wanna help me out with this borgore sound? Before you flame me for it, listen to the song, its not like the usual borgore, and its in 5/4 time which is pretty fucking cool. Anyways I'm really liking this bass so if someone wants to help me out, I have tone2 gladiator, Ableton suite, and..massive
Lol thanks for the help guys.

I haven't heard anyone ask this before..
So does anyone have any idea on what or how to create that famous "burial" sound at 0:25?

SWEEEEEPS! after listening to some people like skism, & knife party, i notice the sweeps carry their tracks with a bunch of energy. Any information on better sweeps would be cool.
1:36 you can hear it building, but if you just listen to the track you feel it riding out the energy.

3:50 and on... I know this is something that seems to be commonly used but where can I get similar sounding drum samples? I've been trying to form a kit sounding like this for a while but no luck :( Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it, thanks.
