easy, don't jump down the guy's throat for trying something different, or not doing what you expected.

i had a well good time at glade and saw good sets from many people, some of the techno and more leftfield weirdness was great.

Nah don't get me wrong, love Starkey and really enjoyed that set :) Was a bit surprised by the last tune but will always support artists wanting to try something different, maximum respect to him.

My thoughts? I wish I went.

And it pisses me off every time I see this thread come up.

same, starkey played a beast of a set.. just wasn't feeling the last tune..

rusko on the other hand, we stayed to hear the first few minutes for a laugh but it just wasn't even funny..

Ital Tek was absolutely wicked as were Moderat - visuals blew me away

Shame about most of the DnB being absolutely shite and using the Vapour stage which is by far the sickest arena. Can they book some deeper dnb/jungle/j-tek artists next year please?

Enjoyed Pinch and DMZ, not seen the Vapour fill up so fast!

Absolutely loved the glade this yr :D
Producer stole the show for me tho :N:
The bit of starkey I caught was class, Rusky was hactually pretty good I thought, seen him a few times recently where its just been wall to wall bangers but he balanced his set nicely with some chilled tunes and jungly rollers.
Dub Boy's set (the guy playin all the dancehall methinx) was a lot of fun.
This glade definitely reinvigorated my love of breakcore, it works so well as a festival music, first 20mins of Snares' set was proto jungle heaven, Bogdan was mint as well. Stivs was predictably mashin.
Underworld :o
Cant wait 2 go again next year

I want my beats to sound like arrhythmia.

It was a lot of fun. I was "mc'ing" for his set actually! The whole
Ruffnek session was a blast. Quality weekend in general too.....

Amazing weekend once again! (copy and paste my review from another forum....)

Another top glade festival, definitely thumbs up on the new venue. We were camped at the far back near ID Spiral. Bit of a mission carting all the gazebo etc. down there but was worth it really :)

Pro's
Boom Town thursday night, Ben & Lex's "cheeky rave" - was great fun in there, had some great laughs.
MODERAT - oustanding. I love the album (and the DVD) and their live show was really special. You can tell the music they make is really thoughtful and all their respective creative minds have come up with a classic.
Digital Mystiks - great set! Best dubstep of the weekend. Generally vapour was an awesome tent for Bloc both nights, Carl Craig was wicked too.
Underworld - seen them live 4 times now and that was a very good show. That last tune "moaner" is an absolute monster. Also there was a couple of new tracks in there I didnt recognise, something about "vision", really liked that one. Amazing way to end the weekend.
Overkill - iTAL tEK, 5 hours of wrong music (although didnt think it was as wrong as previous years), shitmat playing "hit me with your gabba stick" lol, broken:note on friday night was amazing.
Also saw Freestylers and Beardyman on the main stage, great stuff. Im glad the white main stage is back. Think I also caught one of Phletch's main stage sets too.
Caught the commercial hippies on the origin stage - really enjoyed their set although it was straight after the saturday rain and was a bit squelchy.
All in all, the sound systems were incredible. Didnt hear a duff set all weekend.
Interstella was fun on sunday - the village disco provided plenty of laughs.
Good food once again, those pizza's were lush
Took hundreds of photos and some movies - will stick some in the gallery when i get the chance
Being camped with loads of wicked people once again made for some genius early morning moments

Con's
4 of our tents got robbed on thursday night :( We reckon £460 in total was nicked. Nearly fucking spoiled the whole weekend but we rallied together and mad the most of it. John's phone and wallet were nicked so he cancelled the cards, phone and got his crime ref number for insurance, and reported it to the info stall. I had a phone call an hour later - phone handed in! Result. A couple of hours later - wallet handed in! Minus money of course. So dead phone and cards, but at least he had them back... everyone else just money nicked, and 2 people were in their tents at the time. Freaked out a couple of the girls camped with us.
I know a lot of people enjoyed the drum&bass on sunday, but everytime I went in their I thought it was pretty pants.
Mutant Clan - when I saw these guys had a 3 hour set I thought they would have done something very special but i dipped in and hour of it and it was the same every time - plod plod tech house with no feeling. Would have been a better off booking for the club tent late afternoon.
Really suffered sunday daytime from general lack of sleep - underworld perked me up though :)

So all in all, a great festival and once again Glade proves its still the UK's best.

to be honest your foolish for leaving anything worth anything in your tent! a tent is for sleeping in, not storing valuables! if id have left all my money in my tent and it got stolen, cheeez.... i'd have had to go on a criminal ting to get it all back!

once again i cant believe how many people at glade were lovin £20 a gram. the number of times people told me to fuck off, i told them to come back when they got desperate, and then as i walked off i heard them shouting for me to come back was hilarious, made my weekend (aside from reso's set)! some hippy was fuming as he gave in to paying £60 for 3, then his girlfriend asked for two for herself, hahahahaha. cher chinnnnnng!

So many people go there packed away tents knicked...whats that all about?!
Starkeys last tune was horrendous, sorry, but singing down a vocoder trying to sound like Kanye West just aint working for me! Dropped too many RnB bits for my liking too, really didn't rate him, although I've seen him before and thought he was great!?

i'm pretty sure he was mixing, can't remember.. i know it was good though, apart from that last tune where he sang.
Must have cleaned up his act since I last saw him in Melbourne, where he pretended to mix for a hour.
not really sure what you are talking about. i've never "pretended" to mix in my life.

i can only speak about boomtown on sunday.... cuz i only flew in sunday morning. but that tent was smashing it all day.... reso, raffertie, dtl, benga, rusko, mumdance...... i really had a good time.

regarding the comments about my last track.... cool if u liked it and cool if u didn't. it has definitely gotten mixed reviews from the people who have heard it.... even close friends. some hate it... others love it. you'll never please everyone. it's something that just felt right when i was in the studio one day.

I did exactly the same with some kangaroos...bad mistake
You had those Kangaroos too? Fuck, they were rough man.

They paralysed me for a good hour until the intensity of the rush faded away. Then I had like 4 shits in about an hour. Missed loads of stuff because of those damn things! No regrets though. Feckin' awesome weekend.
