Met Loefah once, lovely bloke. Nothing wrong with getting people you admire / respect to sign stuff. I'd say there is more wrong with being a snooty twat for no reason.

Funny people going on about ASBO 12". Remember pokes flogging a few on here couple years back.

sorry if this has been mentioned before, but the new boddika double is set for a september first release according to ashes' instagram.

as a german swamp-fan, it's heartbreaking seeing the pics and videos from the auction and everything as it's impossible to be there, but it looks great. but i got my mean streets already 3

Not sure if you mean me, but not trying to be snooty. I just wouldn't feel comfortable getting something signed by a producer as its too close to "celebrity" culture. I don't think there should be a "them and us" thing in underground music, Loefah doesn't act like that, but some of his fans do.

Personally... getting a photo with someone is the way i would like as a memento when meeting someone I admire. Each to their own and that.

its not snooty in my opinion. i dont really like putting people on a pedestal and i despiseeee celebrity culture. its absolurtely rancid. all of these chum[ps grovelling at the feet of people who at the end of the day are just other sacks of flesh and bones. if someone does awesome shit i enjoy, id rather just say 'hey man that was awesome, i really enjoyed that' not 'OMG I LUV U SIGN MY TITS'

a photo is good, i take photos with everyone; friends, family, dogs and cats i meet on the street

I agree with you but to be fair it wasn't like people going mad for signed shit at the auction.. I think they thought it might go for more money signed but I think more people would have bid for that 808 donuts tee if it hasn't been signed.. I wanted it until people started signing it.

I think you've got the wrong idea as to why he signed the records.
Signing each record 'To XXXX From Loefah' means it is harder to resell these records on Discogs, as each one is specific to the person who bought it.

i saw this too but it kind of surprises me..thought his releases would be 10, 20 and 30. then again jonny banger did mention that faltydl is in september as well as boddikas release, and zed bias october, so that would sort of explain it. :w:
