orca- interesting man, nice switch up from standard dubstep. kick sounds alright, mixdown seems okay, mabe a tad busy in the middle but apart from that sounds clean. nice use of breaks samples as well after the drop. decent tune mate well done.
dmisreal- nice use of yois for the intro, havent heard anyone repping that sound for a while haha.sounds fine, maybe work on giving the intro a more dynamic sound, feels a bit flat. also maybe turn the sub up a bit but i think its just my headphones, solid effort otherwise mate. switch up your midrange sound too btw, gets a bit repetitive.
s3b- nice intro rhythm, like the futurama sample haha. intro feels abit too different from the rest of the song mate, maybe work on that. your midrange sounds okay but not really that great.

heres my tune

Soundcloud

changed he song i wanted feedback for, decided the original wip was awful, since been deleted

@Cheeky - Add some subbass and some flow to you composition. I really like the minimalistic approach, but you might want to add some automation so it won't bore people.

@Orca - Your bassdrum dissappears at about 1:09, try adding more sidechaining to the new synth that comes in. Otherwise I really like the part that starts from 2:45, sounds really evil.

@dmisreal - Try adding some rests to your bass to make it more rhythmic or give your song a nice chord progression. Also don't use FL's vocal samples man, that's really bad. Even a random sample from a porn move is more fun.

I haven't produced much in a while and haven't posted on here much but I recently got Massive and started attempting to produce some new stuff so I figured I'd post my lastest WIP:

Soundcloud

I don't like the intro at all, it's not mastered or anything and I have no idea how it sounds on speakers since I wrote on headphones... so yeah pretty rough but any feedback at all would be awsm :P

My feedback for others:

@Swaggr: your intro is awsm, it's the sort of intro I wish I could attempt to make but sadly I always :P I also like how its so minimalistic till the drop.

@hiddenbase: I like your intro too, but some of the detuned bits sound too detuned if that makes sense and the notes don't seem to sit together right in some places. I really like some of the background sounds you have going on in the main body as well, they sit well and the whole track kinda gives me an oriental sort of vibe.

@PhilthyLoman: I liked where the track started but the midrange/bass doesn't seem to gel properly, I like the radio/tv sample you used and how you used it though. Also the drums didn't seem punchy enough, but that might just be my headphones.

@s3b: I like your sample, and how your drums sound :)

@dmisreal: I think you should turn down the yoi :P

@Cheeky - Piano is going good in the beginning and the transition is nice and smooth. Wobbles are sounding good and clean, might just need some other sounds mixed in as well to change it up. All in all a good track!

@amiran - Really digging the tempo on this track and how it changes! Synth and pad work are really solid! Keep it up man! Ambiance is working really nice as well.
Looking forward to hearing this completed.

@mthrfnk - I like how the kick comes in the build. Sample is nice! Tempo is speedy and goes good with the wobbles. Not usually my taste but it sounds good man!

WiP_2, going for a simple flow...

@mthrfnk - I was impressed by the drop, really good sound and rhythm. The intro seemed really rubbish in comparison to the rest of the song. Pep up the intro, finish the song and it'll be something I'd pay for.

@sage1 - The bass is really powerful and has some potential, add some reverb to it to make it more distant (think of Cookie Monsta's Optimus Prime).

@xgli7chx - Really nice wobble going on, i like the rhtyhm at the end. Add a punchy kick tho, right now it's basically nonexistent.

@cheeky I like the mellow start i like the whole of it in general, very nice groove going :D
@amiran finish that man im seriously gonna download that that is sooo sick brotha seriously fucking harddddddd ass drop
@mthrfnk I love it man Great job, Maybe change up the bassline for the second drop after the vocal sample it kinda starts to sound like a loop being played over and over again but not really cause you vary the speed at times, I quite enjoyed it though finish it up, there should be a thread called "Finished n Polished Tunes" (To post all finished tunes ready to download and what not hahahah whos with me?!?!
@sage1 bring out your highs a bit, the snare or clap or whatever sound you are using sounds really filtered, unless you are using a filter for that specific filter, great job though i like it man! makes me feel like im conquering a mountain climb on an icy terrain of spiritual lands LOL
@xgli7chx Really groovyy man :D

Ok so I have here a new track that I have been working on, all sounds I made from my own knowledge of using massive, and from fully scratch, It's so much fun making the sounds you want ahahaha its called transdimensional for a reason, its meant to start your journey from a jungle into earth and straight into the cosmos i gotta listen to this while trippin or make music while trippin hahaha

And please understand it doesnt really drop until it drops and you'll know but the drops before are to gradually build it up but have as much detail as possible

Also the middle squeeky bass part may get a tad annoying and repetitive but all is to change, I cant let something like that ruin a song halfway into it haha
its just really supposed to have a more gritty compact feeling that bass

Sorry if my contribution is short, but i'm from spain and new at producing, so i have some dificulties to express my opinion and say what i really want to say...

-Cheeky:love the sickness, maybe a subbass will make deeper the tune, but the constant bass, i just think its a nice one
-sage1: like very much the bass, sounds clean, add some effects, maybe delay as amiran says
-orca:the gabba kick, its sick dude. Great hard sound no doubts, but you may need some variants maybe some automations on the bass or effects, i personally love the repetitive sound although most of people usually get bored really fast.

And here its an unfinished tune made with a friend

@Cheeky I like it! Good production and the mixdown sounds great. Nothing bad to say about it really.
@amiran Love the snare, really punchy. The layout is perfect, I'd say just keep trying to improve the clarity of the sounds, and mabye cut down on the reverb a little, give the sounds an edge but not a muddy puddle. Other than that it is great :)
@mthrfnk That was sweet! Love the chords, and the punchy snare is great! Not much to improve on, just small mixdown/mastering things I think.
@xgli7chx Wow, that was sweet! I love the bass! Can't really think of where you could improve that. Keep working on it, it sounds great.

I got Logic yesterday, and this is my first ever track on it, so please be cool if it isn't the best standard of production. I am still getting the intro section together, and there is no FX, other than that, please let me know what you think of it! Thanks

Hello! This is my 1st post and I'm loving this forum already lol heard some bangers so far!!

@amiran - Dubby is absolutely sick!!!! Loving the dubstep change at 1:30.. maybe add a few vocal samples to give it some change if u want. Plastik is another one i like too, mellow!!

@mrthrfnk that drop is MADNESS! needs more bass tho in my opinion :) overall its good!!

@sage1 Bass is very clean!! But u need to put it up a bit tho as the synths wash it out a lil bit

@xgli7chr - kick needs to be louder lol, but wobbles are groovy!

@wizardd - that my friend is pure filth!!! SICKKK :D

@homeless - vocals and bass go really well!! the switch up is crazy too!! its melodic too which i like haha

@Noisestorm - that drop!! oh my days I'm bout to cry hahaha.. its already a tune mate!!!

and heres mine: criticise it well as I'm quite new to all this haha

@homeless love the whole song in general, you could beef up your bass a bit more, so it sounds less like its just in the background

@Loadium awesome intro, awesome drop, the yoi could use some more emphasis though. if youre new to this, then good damn job :D

@Noisestorm perfect intro, sick drop, probably going to end up PMing you on how to get that high pitch intense skrillex scream synth :D but awesome job

heres my newest wip, havent worked much on it at all, so fire away with the feedback :3 (some of the cymbals at the start are screwed up, my bad :D)

Thanks for all the feedback on my track Gangster, I'm finishing it atm - rewrote the intro and I added a half-time section after the third drop, I might post it here tomorrow. Anyways here's another new track I made today which still needs a lot of work... it's not Dubstep though it's House but still any feedback would be awsm:

Soundcloud
Feedback for others:

@xgli7chx: I really like your snare, imo the track needs padding out and the kick needs slightly more punch but other than that it seems like a good start for a track.

@wizardd: Love the intro, I basically like every sound you have in the track it just needs a little more polish to make everything gel with each other - it gets a bit hectic after the Ladies & Gentleman sample

@Noisestorm: Nice little track, i like the riff that kicks in 0.18ish. Btw did you use the synths in Logic or external VSTs to make the drop at 0.50, its sexy!

@Loadium: I like the stuff you've got going on the intro and the middle break. Your drum work is really nice as well, good job.

Hi,

Timing still isn't 100% perfect on some sounds, but i think its the sickest drop i made so far.
Everyone giving feedback gets some on his own track from me.

http://www63.zippyshare.com/v/42185387/file.html

By the way if anyone who likes it thinks he's god at rapping don't bother to contact me :) I could need some parts for the intro.

Thanks everyone for the awesome feedback! That was really a test to get me used to Logic, I'm starting a full proper track now, I'll post it when it is good enough!

@homeless man the way you are going with that song you wont be homeless anymore :P XD hahahhaa i only keeding :D but man great job literally it doesnt get a hint of boring through out it, not that anything really does, one of my songs omg .....repetitive nightmare LOL i just stopped working on it altogether, i will go back to it another time.
@swagger bro i like it, maybe define the basses more so you can hear them more pronounced, and by basses i only mean the bass sound that starts it all off into the deeper more liquid sounding wobbles
@mthrfunk ahahahhaha i have a track called gangsta, DEF not what you made LOL a whole different style but same name ahahaha Good job man!! I like it very chill :D

Haha here's one more for fun I literally made this in a day haha it sounds like a quick beating of music

@cheeky Nice intro. I love the groove on this. The snares and claps need more strength and the wobble could use a little work, just a little. I like where this is going, keep it up.

@Amiran Great production. Love the intro, nice stabs. The 4 on the floor with this is siiiick. I can barely stay in my seat. The arps in the middle are far too loud and drown out everything else though. And the basses in the breakdown need work to make the sounds flow together better, but overall this is a quality track. When it's finished it'll be fantastic without a doubt.

@mthrfnk I like the intro, but the 808's are either sidechained too much or clipping. The wobble is great, but slow it down. Give it some swagger to its walk if you know what I mean, then do a breakdown later where its at the tempo it is now. It will be sick, garunteed. Just try and get the wobble to sound crisper and clearer because its a bit muddled.

@Amiran^2 Intro is top notch again, nice work. The first drop on this one is too hectic imho. Hard to follow, seems chaotic. There are amazing sounds and combos going on, but it just is too chaotic to really click. Good break in the middle, heavy and clear. The second half is much MUCH better than the first. Again with this song the high ends are a bit overwhelming and could be curtailed a bit. Love the stabs at 3:40, I wish to learn this technique. You're sound design is impeccable my friend. Quality tune here.

Here is the second half a project I'm working on, this half is DnB. The first half is downtempo, groovy, idk. Not really fitting anything I know. I'll be putting up another WIP with more feedback in a bit too. Please leave more then one or two sentences! Unless they're really useful sentences :6:

@Wizardd Great drops and risers in the beginning, nice sounds there. Excellent build up. And then :O This drop is great. I haven't heard something like this before, and it is wonderful. The breakdownish bit in the middle is heaven to my ears. My first recommendation is that you expand it, or bring it back later redone, it would be ridiculous. The more this song goes on, the more speechless I am. My only other comment is that the mix is a little hectic as far as sounds sticking out. This song is an absolute beast and deserves nothing less then the most ridiculous mixing to make sure everything in it is heard clearly. SICK FUCKING TUNE! :U: SO MUCH LOVE! Great work. *tips hat*

@homeless Gorgeous song, wonderful vocals, excellent bass. The bass could be a little more prominent. The second bass patch you have is quite out of place though, I recommend replacing it with another more aesthetically fitting one and then use that more often in the second half for variation. Also the stop and start in the middle ruins the flow, absolutely must have a better transition at 2:25ish. This song will be great when its finished, keep it up!

@Noisestorm Hard to believe this is your first tune, because its so damn awesome! :W: Reminds me of skrillex/brostep type stuff, but not so much that it is a rip off. Keep it up.

@Loadium Love the pianos, beautiful intro. Sick drop! The levels between the basses are a bit off and could be evened out for clarity. Excellent variation and sequencing. The break in the middle is also gorgeous. I am very jealous of those strings and would like to have them :6: Other than that just clear up the mix a bit so that the basses stand out against each other and the song better. Great work.

@wizardd^2 I like the sounds going on here, but that lead/highend thing is far too overbearing and becomes quit irritating. It would be insane in a drop or mixed with others, but solo it just doesnt work.

Here's my other one, sorry for the double dose. I did give extra feedback! Dupstep, not to mainline, idk. All comments welcome!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!! :W:

@Swaggr - Those samples sound something off FoneJacker haha! Sick drop!!

@mthrfnk - that house tune is grooovy! Those synths work really well

@Ematyael - I'm really liking that DnB tune, has a unique vibe!! and thank you so much for the feedback! I'll be finishing it off tomo lol About those strings.. I'm using Nexus2! Really sick plugin, well worth the money tbh, as I make a lot of hiphop too :)
