I just changed gym and it has fucked all my shit up, need to get the hang of the new place. Need to work on my wide grip pull ups too, 3x5 and I'm ruined, loads of the plates are 45 pounds as opposed to 20kg and it has set me back a bit Foot gym though

Deadlifted harder than I've ever deadlifted before today, managed to do around 300lbs 3 times before my form started to go a bit so I stopped, my mate went up to 470 and he's not a juicer, just a fireman with plenty of time to lift every day. Been feeling sore as fuck since, being in a new gym full of stronger people really makes you wanna catch up lol, I feel puny in there.
Also, is there any point in taking BCAAs and protein shakes? the protein shakes are gonna get broken down to amino acids anyway, right? is it a waste of time? will i just be pissing the excess out?
