tighten things up in what sense??@sprayyypaint : This is myyyy shit right here.. i love it man.. a smack to the face. love the grove that it settles into at 1:50.. My constructive critism is maybe tightening things up .. i only can hear this on my head phones so its easier to be nitpicky about FQs but i really like the songs direction.
Nice, the intro/outro sound in-key now. I also don't get the feeling that the mix lacks upper end anymore. The percussive elements fill out the track better than before, and it doesn't sound too crowded or too empty.nonXero wrote:After hearing everyone's feedback, I changed a few things again so here it is... again!... will comment tomorrow to everyone that gave feedback!

@steeple- i really like the bass sound that comes in.
@NICORISONE - i think the claps are a little too loud but i love the atmosphere you create.
@yoitsfrankd- that bass sound is awesome. what synth/plug ins did you use. I've been trying to create something like that with massive but can't get the timing/sound right. i keep listening to it, sounds sick.
here's a first draft of a remix i did of an engine earz experiment song i heard on the radio. i made it for fun so i hope i'm not messing with any copyrights or anything. its my first dubstep song so let me know what you think.

Thanks mate! Changed the FX in the intro around to start a bit later...street_astrologist wrote: Nice, the intro/outro sound in-key now. I found the flow of the track quite pleasant and relaxing, in fact I forgot to pay close attention to the whole thing while listening several times and had to rewind it! Solid chillout feel. I personally tend to have a hard time making anything that doesn't have at least a few jump-up elements to it, but you have succeeded in doing so here.
Maybe the only thing I didn't think too much of is the FX sound at the beginning - maybe drop it in a little later than immediately so that the atmospherics can build a little first to set the initial vibe? It's a little jarring as is. Is that a flush recording?
na na its good for ya to get honest feedback , its the only way to progressHomeNoiseRecord wrote:@ironik - 1st song - loving the mechanical sound and feel to the overall song.I think towards the end it begins to feel a bit monotonous, not to bring you down too much i just feel themain melody needs breaking up a little bit. Great stuff though.
