Like plastician said.. why is everyone talking shit about something that hasn't even found place, for all we know this is going to be awesome, so i would wait untill the line up/vote system drops before getting all worked up about nothing.
And i know that the gd boys have done alot of stuff for the scene but that doesn't make it allright of them to say stuff about an organisation that they know little about when there's a bunch of people listening

So people are no longer able to give their opinions on something in the public domain? Maybe if they were a little more forthcoming with information people would be able to get a clearer picture of exactly what is going on and could therefore make a more accurate opinion.

Ofcourse everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but loads of guys in this thread are just saying that its gonna be shit and that the organisers are in it for the cash based on 5 lines of information & a logo. the awards are in 5 months or something so give them some time to do everything proper and then let them get the rest of the news out when they feel they are ready for it...

If its not happening for such a long time, why start it up now?? Why not wait until everything is finalised? If we had all the information we wouldnt be speculating. If theyre wanting the extra publicity by starting promoting it now and releasing next to nil information, then we are allowed to voice our opinions if we desire.

Course you can, but given the lack of information any opinion you form is going to be based largely on assumption. I'm sceptical myself but am not gonna write it off just yet.

Once again, we wanted to say thank you for stopping by the thread and commenting! - We appreciate all your feedback, whether negative or positive!!

We will be releasing further information shortly. We do realise that it's frustrating waiting for the full details but they shall be released in due course.

Rather than release information that may change or alter, we wish to release our full line-up and categories once everything is 100% confirmed and we are confident that nothing will change. - As you hopefully agree, holding an awards or any event requires considerable planning and administration. We are pleased to say though that all the information will be available VERY soon!

The awards will be taking place on: Saturday 26th November in Birmingham, UK

I still don't get what one of the promoters is set to gain by putting on awards for drum and bass and dubstep when he makes his cash putting on Will Young and the like in arenas? Surely there is enough money in Pop music promotion?

Hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend! - Thanks once again for stopping by the thread and commenting.

Firstly, we'd like to assure the DSF community that we'll be doing everything in our power to stop the awards from being biased. - That's the last thing we want!

The line-up is yet to be announced, we haven't released this line-up to anyone and won't be doing so for a little while. We are confident that the line-up will cater for all tastes and we've worked hard to bring the best line-up possible to this years awards!

Categories and venue are to be announced VERY shortly!
