^ While i liked what i heard from that release, i just couldn't hack more than one tune at a time. Personally not a fan of pure gabba, you need to throw in some amens and take the bpm up to 210 to keep me listening.

By the way, do you know if i can hear that Wan Bushi mix, wubstep?

Haha, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was like that for the longest time but dunno, I just wanted to get into more straight up kicks so I kinda weened myselfi nto it. It's especially hard to get into in NL, where gabber kids were mostly neo-sizan who like shitty mainstream hardcore. So that used to be in the back of my head for the longest time when it comes to hardcore.

Never did like gabba or its variantions, specially speedcore (I find it laughable). Too much for me personally.

^ I used to detest speedcore but i quite like that flashcore stuff from the previous page, probably because it's a little creative and unconventional. But still, shit like m1dy and all those "lolicore" guys is some of the worst music i've ever heard. Although i'm not sure if it's supposed to be a joke yet, especially splittercore.

fockin rinse out!

Also what's funnier is people in the comments arguing about the technicalities of speedcore vs. extratone on what is clearly a joke track!

Yeah but... is it? I like Epsilon (it was you on this thread that introduced me to him) but i have no problem saying that that's quite crap... It doesn't even seem like he tried.

I'm in the mood for some fast abrasive breaky noisecore shit, like old Snares, Scud, Duran x 3, anybody got some favourites?

Assuming you've listened to 'The Destroyer' by Alec Empire already?? That's good total DJ Scud'esque brutality. Noize Creator too!

Edgey's decent. It's kinda like breakcore, drum & bass and industrial noise rolled into one.

This is one of his d&b tunes though:

Particularly looking forward too;

Bohren & der club of gore
Goat
Drunk In Hell
Hey Colossus
Dope Body
Tim Hecker
Small but Hard

^ Just checked the line up, i only know: Hype Williams, Merzbow, The Bug, Tim Hecker, Goat and DJ Scotch Egg.... what's everything else? Rock and jazz? Interested cus it's a city-fest in my city, but if it the rest is indie, folk, house and hipster bass music i'll probably give it a miss.

Also thanks for the recommendations, heard them before though :(

I wouldn't miss it if I were you, probably the most eclectic line up in the country...

Noise, drone, noise rock, doom, doomjazz, freejazz, kraut & psyche stuff, atmospheric folky singer/songwriter stuff, uncategorisable experimentalism etc.

Don't think there's any hip house/bass other than Hype Williams, who I prob wont bother with.

Cool, on further inspection the noise and drone acts have gotten me intrigued and i've never heard metal live... i just didn't want a bunch of house/techno and gay indie rock music. Sure there's bound to be some glitch and breakcore-ish stuff going on too... might have to get on this :)

Probably more of a chin-scratch vibe going on, which is great for me. Yeah man, gonna def have to sort something out.

Breakcore just doesn't exist anymore in 2012. There's a bunch of shows with mostly some bedroom producer and a bunch of headliners, but other than Life4land, Wood and Ragga Terror Front, you're not gonna find much breakcore anymore. It's all drum n bass, crossbreed and industrial hardcore now.

Yeah something for everyone (weird), should come along...

I know what you mean Gen, but I consider 'breakcore' an umbrella term to cover all those, all my group will know what you mean if you say breakcore.

We've been putting on some parties at last, the last few weeks & months. Proper pro audio in the woods/country with harsh music, not sure if anyone else in the country is doing it...

Got an Allen&Heath mixer too so can record sets from the night...

You get the idea...
