Well it's too early to judge in the past 2 years, but Fuck You by Cee-Lo Green and possibly a few Black Keys songs are definitely contenders along with Gotye. Also, as much as I can't stand Nicki Minaj, I can see Super Bass getting radio play in 30 years. It was everywhere for a long time. What about Call Me Maybe? Its not all that dissimilar to some of the 80s stuff that gets played on classic radio these days.

BEP

actually if you want a good indication of what will be played in a few years time, listen to the "classic hits" style stations. they have a remarkably good ear for what everyday people like.

http://www.acclaimedmusic.net/ The pop songs in the 'top 200 songs of the 2000s' list seem like likely candidates for songs that'll be remembered.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

It looks like Mr Gun fingers is having a pretty good time.

And that does look like a fun gay club.

why would any Black Keys songs wind up being memorable hits, we've already got led zeppelin. It's the same exact thing but better.

Umbrella, I Gotta Feeling & Just Dance would become known as The classic 2000s dance songs imo

It just occurred to me that Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO will probably be remembered in years to come... not sure how to feel about this

i'd happily head up a totalitarian global superstate if it meant systematically erasing all trace of "i gotta feeling" from human collective memory
