They're not actual subgenres, they're just labels that make things easier to talk about. What's easier, saying 'the aggy, Coki/Kromestar/Jakes sound' or 'tearout'? They're all dubstep, these labels are just words.

I have 2 labels, music I like and music I don't. Whatever genre specific songs happen to fall in is irrelevant, and should be for all of us. Lets all just be friends and go back to posting meme's and ragging on songs we as a collective, dislike! :w:

I wasn't laying down rules, I was trying to show the similarities. In metal, Deathcore is the brostep of dubstep, it gets a lot of stick from the oldheads.

I should point out that I'm not a genre snob. Only time I go overboard is when someone calls dub, dubstep.

then again, im a metalhead from day, so i think all subgenres of HC are shit lol (including HC itself)
