dubstep has started to gain some serious momentum in north america over the past 12 months.
and for what it's worth.. the majority of converts from the hip hop set seem to gravitate most towards lowest common denominator dubstep (at least in my elitist opinion lol)

no offense to the dudes who actually put the record together cause i'm sure they had good intentions.. but the verses were all recorded for other projects & obviously baby grande primarily wanted to stretch their back catalog as much as possible.
calling it an "officially endorsed" wu-tang project is fine.. but it's not a collaboration. i don't mean to be overly critical.. i just take rap serious () and to me the true benefits of dubstep & hip hop colliding are going to be when dubstep infuses influences from american subcultures & vice versa. starkey, the brainfeeder crew, kode9 & a few others have already laid the groundwork.. but it's going to take something like stones throw signing dubstep tunes or bun b collaborating with joker to really take things to that next level......

bit dissapointed by this really, the standard wasn't exactly what i thought it'd be. Really felt the scuba and nebulla/dore remixes though!

Anyone else realize that Datsik remix of Biochemical Equation is the exact same beat from the Lil Wayne A Milli remix he did? Talk about getting lazy for an "exclusive" album.

Hahaha groundhog day, go back about 6 pages and you'll find out why the Datsik and Excision beat was used, the Millie track was a dubplate bootleg, it fitted well with Rza's vocal on Bio Chem so we went with it, Excision was on tour in europe so time was a factor, through our eyes they represent the future of dubstep so it was imperative they were on the album.

This is a remix project, remixes of material that has previously been released, as stated clearly in the booklet that accompanies the album as well as the press release on page 1 of this thread.

It was never going to please everyone, I don't think that's even possible with music, the response thus far has been so positive it's been pretty overwhelming.
#7 in the Itunes hip hop album chart in the first week is no joke whichever way you cut it.

The album will be promoted through to the end of the tour which will run from january 2010 through to the end of march.

Huge thanks and bigups to everyone who has bought the album so far, and for those that wern't feeling it maybe you'll be more at home with the next project and maybe you won't, at the end of the day it's the music we're trying to push forward in all it's shapes and forms. We're not flawless and we can only do what feels right to us.

EVERY MASSIVE AND CREW, BIG UP!
