Bloomin 'Ell! Loving the summer vibes by grunt & jamie, feeling the crazy trippy manta invasion portrayed by blahblahjah, that phrex clip is awesome..would really love to hear more and matthew's egyptian vibes are brilliant! Too many to quote but great tunes in here guys! Here's a couple of dub influenced tracks i done a couple of days back and just plucked up the courage to up it :

hey guys, dunno if im ninja enough to post in here but im quite pleased with this track and there are better responses in here than in the normal dubs section

any feedback would be great (especially feedback concerning mixing down, on nice speakers obviously)

EDIT: okay okay... I liked the tune - dark vibes, always good. A point of critism: the drums don't really glue together, not as in the rhythm *which is awesome, with the "late" snare!*, but the samples/velocities. I think a touch of reverb and or compression might be able to help you on that


EDIT2: Oh and that ghostsnare you tried to do, use another sample for it, not the same one as the original sample. The way it sounds now is just the normal snare, but further away.

exactly the reason i posted in here cause i was pretty pleased with it but wanted some real constructive feedback which would help me progress properly which i probably wouldnt get in the normal dubs section, im not exactly spamming loads of tracks needlessly..

so thanks for the feedback ill give it some tweaks on the stuff you said and see what happens, cheers!

Bam! Dont know quite what I was expecting, but this wasnt it! Theres quite alot of fire tucked away in that tune, but I dont reckon it hits quite as hard as it should/could do at the moment! Guess I dunno what you were wanting with the tune, but for me I think the percussion needs to stand out alot more. It sounds a bit flat at the moment (to my ears!) and I dunno if you were yet to have a final mixdown on it, but personally id make that percussion slap you in the face a bit more Also, again I dunno if this is just me...but as I was listening it felt like at some point the synth noise was going to pitch down half an octave or something and basically fuck some ting up (in a good way...) Again, might just be me but id have more of a fuck around with that synth (and im not really one for fucking around with synths that much...)

But yeah, ive been working on...something myself. Im not 100% sure where it came from or where its going, but im liking elements of it and reckon theres a nice tune in there somewhere. Ive overlistened it though and dont trust my judgement that much atm!

Its very much in progress, with a few ideas without too much progression just kind of lumped in at the end, but would love anyones thoughts on it...
