This is my least favourite of the dubstep allstars series, it's not bad or anything, it just doesn't seem to have the jaw dropping wow factor that I had when I heard the others.

I dunno, maybe it will grow on me.
I fully agree mate, theres some bangers on it but most of the tracks have that annoying midrange guitar sample that just doesnt do anything for me. Loads of people will disagree though i reckon! Still cant beat 2 or 6 in my opinion.

I can never really pick a favourite cos they're all good for different reasons, nothing beats the darkness of Youngsta's first one, the swing of Hatcha's first one, the deepness of 4, 6 & 7 (rama's), the energy of N-Type & Chef's and the just plain trippy weirdness of Kode9's.

and in a couple of weeks I might well find what makes this one brilliant. But I haven't so far.

I agree with both of you.. Except Youngsta's which didn't have lots of flavors but was pure vibes all the rest where very diverse and I'm afraid this one isn't. lot's of big tunes on there though and always big respect for Distance. I 'm still waiting for my copy but have listened to an illegal d/l in a friend's car

Not sure why people aren't feeling this one.

If anything Kode 9's is my least favourite.

But picking a favourite/least favourite is pointless as they're all sick

I agree, they are all sick. 8 is good, I think it highlights (for me, at least) how far I would go in the direction of "filth/brock out/jump up" dare I call it that. That's not an insult, all the tracks here for the most part are brilliant.

Kode 9's was good, but Spaceape annoyed me on it. Just seemed a bit awkward recycling the same verse.

All of them still sound fresh, you can pick whichever volume to listen to depending what mood youre in.

My copy won't rip either. I took it back to the store and got another one, same issue. Figures it's the last track—who wants to hear a big monolith of a mix and then sudden silence during the last transition!!

Bah!

Distance is easily one of my favourite producers, and I've seen him spin a couple of times and he's been quality.

This tracklist is BIG... which is why i was a little disappointed at the mix. The mixing aint very tight, and on a couple of ocassions it makes it almost unlistenable :?

Still, respect to Distance for sticking to his sound and reppin' real dubstep.

EDIT: I got this for £3.99 new, straight from Amazon... get on it!

Am I right in thinking that this is the only one to not have a Skream track on?

Mixed feeling about this release as well.
All about the J:Kenzo track, and the track 'after shock' is also a total banger.
It's noticeable how much it differs from the other All Stars mixes, it's heavy into the robotic movement of noisy deep dubstep.
But it's the unrelenting restless formula of mixing in after a bridge that this awesome mix loses it's creativity.
Surly better than any of the get darker mixes, but for the time being it's at the end of list for the all stars series.

Kode9's V3 is an ALL TIME FAVORITE

(I just got it, so there's lots of room for this one to grow)

to be honest, i've not listened to this very much since i got it. it hasn't grown on me all that much, it's just very weak in comparison to the others.
