The funny thing is, it will cost you alot more to get a pair of Pioneers and an ok mixer, or serato and technics than it will starting out on vinyl...I got my set up for £350 (two 1210's and a 4ch behringer). You'll be paying near enough £1000 for pioneers if you want top quality.

i know they're not arsed about cutting out consumers like me but that doesn't mean i'm supposed to like it or agree with it. i think that ish is gay.

and when i said complacent i really mean arrogant

swamp81 - 'hey, we're releasing some of the best tunes in the scene, but they're going to go on limited vinyl release so most of you will never get to own them :D'

what about the young'uns that are 13/14 that can't possibly afford decks in anyway shape or form, completely cutting them out (not talking about myself btw)

wait, actually them 14 year olds are cool cos they can just download the tunes anyways

but dude the limited release vinyl is the format they have chosen and like to use. I know it sucks if you're after the digi download, but c'est la vie!

Plus, at a time when vinyl cutting house are closing daily and sales are at a big low, they're sticking to their guns which shows nuts and care fro their craft.

(equally, the irony is that a vinyl rip is almost definitely gonna be whacked on soulseek for each of these releases...)

i mean im pretty pissed off that i missed out on the falty dl 12, but if i had actually listened to the tunes beforehand and knew that i liked them then i would have bought it as soon as it came out and be laughin, but i didnt, i only realised i loved the tune after it had sold out, so its my fault really. all the other swamp releases that i wanted, i have. i didnt have to buy a turntable either i happen to have parents who are older than like 30 and they have a turntable so i can just listen to it on there

You can buy USB turntables at least in an affordable price. The convenience is you can rip tracks from your vinyl into your computer with simple to use instructions and set-up. :P
