oh well.

they did that on a lot of tunes for their mixtapes. pretty common for mixtapes

On swag me the fuck out they just rhymed over (dallas represent!) Big Tuck- Not a Stain On me..... which in turn samples (well not 100% sample, more like a rebuild) the last half of beastie boys - the new style.

is the beat from

which samples the 2nd drop (starts at 3:23, such a sick sample)

yeah i wasn't trying to call them out or anything, just slightly disappointed because i thought tyler made the beat (i dont listen to a lot of gucci mane, obviously haha)

either way, earl/tyler did the beat justice, while the gucci version is just kinda average

I think 'Radical' and some of the individual tunes they released are on other peoples' beats but the rest are their own.

yeah, i'm not a huge hip hop head so i had no idea. i wanted to be impressed with their beats....

it was reaffirmed for me when LeftO played an instrumental version of that tune and had random samples of tyler talking over it, so i made the connection that it was one of their beats and it stuck

Radicals mixtape = instrumentals from other artists

Tyler & Earl mixtapes = Tyler produced instrumentals

MellowHype & Hodgy mixtapes = LeftBrain produced instrumentals

i'm selling a supreme hat on ebay and noticed it seems it's now customary to have ''OFWGKTA'' in the title of others supreme hat ads. Haha, haha.

bingo

there's a few small exceptions though, like epaR off of Earl is produced by Left Brain, Transylvania off Goblin is produced by Left Brain, Stapleton off of Earl is produced by some random guy named beatboy.

So now that Earl's back, I guess I can start paying attention to these guys again... what's everyone think of Earl's new track? Did he miss the boat or is he ready to join the others in the limelight?

I think it's good and he is definitely a close second to Tyler. Actually, I know a lot of people who like Earl more than Tyler. He did not miss the boat in my opinion, and I think he's going to be muy successful.
That said, I don't really see any of OF members as like music I listen to 24/7 and about every one of their songs are sincerely appealing to me. I usually will just listen to a couple favorites by them every once in a while. They're cool guys and do make good music, but I just think they're a little overhyped.
However, I'd rather them being supported than a lot of other "mainstream" rappers nowadays.

Earl was the only member that actually made me sit back and go "whoa" when I heard his tracks... his newest track didn't seem to have the same kind of magic, but the flow is definitely still there, I'm not counting him out by any stretch

i'm a fan of the timbre of Tyler's voice but the hype is ridiculous, i'm still not sure why every 16-23 suburban white kid collectively creamed their respective jeans when the Yonkers video came out. I guess I'm a little out of touch as far as that is concerned.

holy shit, i swear half of his fanbase are only aware of yonkers. it's definitely one of his worst songs.
his voice is pretty great. also, just to let you know, my favorite song by him is definitely Odd Toddlers. doom's version is definitely better, though. and don't even mention wiz's.

All the evidence seems to indicate that Earl might not be involved with OF anymore.

really? as in musically, right? because tyler's the one that tweeted about earl's twitter, hence the 50,000 followers. (in case you didn't already know)
