What DAW do you use?

ableton 8 or reason 6 and often use both together.
this wouldn't be a hassle for anyone that doesn't have both
i could easily create a rex file, stem recording, whatever you like best.

How long have you been producing for?

about 10 years, but only really started taking it seriously about 2 years ago.

What VSTs do you favour?

would mainly use fm8, massive, and kontact.
i use loads of different effects including effectrix, various airwindows stuff, roughrider, sterioiser3,
psp vintage, bits to name a few. and of course all the superb standard ones for my DAWs

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?

my work is pretty diverse. i've had people say my tracks sound like anything from
apex twin, dj shadow, rennie pilgrim, mala, egoless (some of his early dubby stuff)
skream, to badklaat.

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)

non dubstep-
chemical brothers, orbital, propellerheads, prodigy, brian jonestown massacre,
libertines, dust brothers, wu tang clan, the bees, the doors, stone roses,
the horrors, gomez, lemon jelly,
dubstep-
goth trad, mala, kaiju, Kryptic Minds, trentmiller, killawatt, skream,
james blake, cymatic, kontext, biome.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL?

mixture of both is probably a good thing, but whatever works best.. i'm in north london..

Ableton Live 8

About a year now. Still learning everyday though.

Massive, Fm8, Ohmicide, Sausage Fattener, Camel Crusher, Albino, Izotope.

Zomboy, Knife Party, Delta Heavy, Dotexe, Pegboard Nerds, Mutrix, Cazzette, Bassnectar, Rusko, Skrillex, Modestep, Krewella, Kill the Noise, Adventure Club.

My influences are pretty much the same as above, but my favorite is dirty filthy bassface music.

Remote is best.

Daw: Ableton and Fl

Experience: Seriously since 2010. Have been a musician and tinkering type
Producer since 2000.

Vst : Massive,fm8, operator, sytrus, absynth, kontakt and highlife.
Fx vst: mainly ohmicide, waves c1, camel crusher, ferric tds, rescue,
Sausage, etc etc I use a lot of the native fl and Ableton fx.

Influences: Datsik, flux,Excision,dr p, skrillex,12th planet. (<then)(as of recently...) Getter,12 gauge, Sadhu,Mantis,Trampa ...anyone heavy and nasty.

Non dubstep: Sublime and melodic heavy rock. I love all music and listen to just
About anything and can find inspiration.

Type of collab sought: Would prefer Irl but I'm expecting to do remote. I want to collab and make friends with people all over the planet.

Best way to contact me is Facebook/shockrx or on here.

I recently decided to take down all of my past tracks. I only have one available at the moment and it is in my sig.
I have other tracks to release of similar sound. Just working out art and mastering.

Look forward to making some friends and of course some quality bass music!

Also, why do people always put Skrillex and deadmau5 together and think it would be awesome, it wouldn't.

What DAW do you use?

Studio One 2. Maschine (kinda a daw :6: ). I also have no problems bouncing stems out or working with stems.

How long have you been producing for?

2 years or so. Ive been playing guitar for 8 years and soaking up as much music theory as i can. I also play bass and some drums.

What VSTs do you favour?

Massive (duh!), Synthmaster, Razor.

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?

Kinda hard to say, because i really dont have a background in dubstep. I used to listen to a lot of trance and house about 10-12 years ago before getting back into dance music. Stuff like Armin, Teiesto, Paul van Dyke, shit like that. The past couple years ive been getting more into DnB. Stuff like Nu:tone and London Electricity. And recently ive been digging KOANsound and Reso. I also have all of Skrillex's shit. Not a fuck given.

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)

Another hard one. Nosia is really interesting. I dont much care for there music, but theres a alot of creativity behind it which is exciting. Nero's welcome reality was brilliant imo. Im facinated by brostep. I cant listen to to much of it at a time, but i think the way its put together is something thats really worth paying attention too.

Aside from that, my main infulences come from metal. Black and death mostly. Black dahlia murder, wolves in the throne room, sargeist, sylosis, petrychor, drudkh, ect.

After that, anyting and everything. Theres really NOTHING i cant be inspired by. Classical, blues, country, anything and everything.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL?

Im open for anything. Right now im in Oakland,ca. But im moving to Seattle in 3 weeks, so if anyone live up there im looking to make some new friends. :cornlol:

BASTIAAN

What DAW do you use?
I use Ableton 9, have been since it came out but before then I had been using Ableton 8.0.1

How long have you been producing for?
Since late 2008/early 2009

What VSTs do you favour?
I use TB_Peach, Massive, dBlue Glitch as my main VST's

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
I don't really think about my sound being along the same wavelengths of other artists

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, early styles of Noisia, J dilla, Zardonic.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
At first I would like to collab with them over the internet passing over projects to one and another & if that went smoothly then I would like to work them on a serious level in real life. I live in Manchester, UK

What DAW do you use? FL Studio 11 & Ableton Live 8

How long have you been producing for?: Almost 2 years, but I have been playing saxophone, piano, guitar, and drums for the past 5 years, music is in my blood, and I'm more of a blues musician than producer, so this is very hard for me, I'm looking for someone that can help along the way.

What VSTs do you favour?: Sylenth1, Massive, Nexus, Zeta+, Sausage Fattener, Maximus, Redux, Transient Designers, the list goes on and on, pretty much anything useful.

What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?: I don't know many that do honestly.

Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep): Skism, Excision, Datsik, Zomboy, Mortar, Mutrix, Mord Fustang, Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Phill Collins, Snow Patrol, Sleeping with Sirens, Daft Punk, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Linkin Park, Fort Minor, a lot of the folks on UKF, and many more that I can't think of right now.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location): Either or, but I doubt anyone lives close enough to me, I live in Bastrop, TX. Just outside of Austin.

What is the best way of contacting you (PM/IM/email - obviously provide the email/IM address if it's the latter): Facebook, Skype, or email, but I will also check my mails here. facebook.com/filthor (post on my wall), email: matthew.smith.secure@gmail.com, Skype: Dillon.Smith35
