I spent an extra £30 to fly with British Airways instead of Ryanair.

That said though, once you add the extra cost/hassle of flying out of Stansted instead of Heathrow, and the extra costs Ryanair add on, it probably works out cheaper to fly BA, AND I'll get free drinks/snacks and get to go on a real plane.

I hate Ryanair so much.

i went last yeaar and i literally just dont shut up about it.

i wish last year i had properly planned what acts i wanted to see first and done all the paragliding things. defnitly get on a boat party.

and DEFINITLY go travelling before, connecting flights around europe are so cheap. our last stop was venice, and we had prebooked the outlook transfer bus from the venice airpot in treviso.

Basically everything that comes after buying a ticket

Did think about flying to Venice (?) and doing the festival and then staying on another week to travel about abit.

Hyped though Will be nice to go to one festival this year and know it will be hot!

That's what I'm doing. Flight prices have probably changed since I booked (like maybe a month ago?), but when I looked, that was the cheapest option, and I've never been to Venice before. Gonna be staying there a couple of days before and after the fest.

Oh, also, I was able to get British Airways flights to Venice and back for the same price as Easyjet/Ryanair etc, fuck those shitty budget airlines charging me extra money to take on a bag/use a debit card to pay/have a glass of tap water/take a dump on the plane.

I booked my tickets in August last year with Lufthansa flying from London City to Zagreb and they were £140, we got a Taxi from Zagreb to Pula and it cost about £30 between 4 of us. Make sure you completely agree prices with taxi drivers before you get in though, pay half when you get in and half when you get out to make sure you don't get scammed. Saw quite a few people getting aggy with taxi drivers when we arrived.

Flying direct to Pula this year with Thompson costing £408 but probably worth it for the lack of hassle!

I checked about a month back and flights to venice were £110 odd, its the added cost of a transfer that pushes it up but its still less than what Ryanair want to get to Pula alone.
Also hoping to convince a friend of mine to come but supposedly the day it starts is hand in for her Masters :/

she should just make sure it's done beforehand because what a celebration that would be for finishing your masters!

Yeah you know! Its more that its hand in date and she reckons you need to do it in person. Was supposed to be asking her tutor how foreign students manage to do it or if it was possible to get it in via someone else or a few days early but hasn't got back to me. Would be beyond amazing if it works out ok though

it's definately doable in 2 weeks, have done similar length trips in the same time but whether or not they'll be in a fit state for a festy at the end of it is another question...

i believe the boat party lineups were revealed in may and then tickets went on sale in june some time cos i remember i didnt have the internet and had to go to the library lol. system really fucked up though which delayed it for ages
