depends if the animal had already died.
i dont think i could bring myself to killing an animal.
i feel you blud.
im not even a vego, and id struggle to kill an animal with just a rock or something.... if i had a rifle handle it might be a different story.

We're talking life or death tho ^
To not do it would be silly

We went to a farm when I was in junior school.
They killed a sheep in front of us.
I couldn't watch.
Some kids jumped for the opportunity to blow up the lungs.
Big blood covered smiles.
As much as I love meat, I could never kill an animal unless my life depended on the sustenance.

Edit, made a mistake, I thought veal was that French thing when they are force fed.
Baby cow is alright
Traditionally veal is a suckling calf which is tied down/kept in a cage so that it can't move which is what keeps the meat white. It's more common now to find "rose" veal which is just a baby cow.
The force fed thing you were thinking of is probably foie gras, where they force feed ducks/geese grain so much that there livers get fatty which means the pate they make from them has more flavour.
I've eaten both but I think both are pretty cruel

I would actually quite like to hunt my own food at some point in the future, I'd rather do that than eat something factory farmed to be honest

not being able to imagine killing an animal even when hungry as fuck is a first world luxury imo

As magma pointed out, the only real chance of having veal that has been mistreated is if its imported, I think in civilized places the little cute babies are killed the same way as the adults.

meat eaters: would you give up meat if you had to watch a video of a baby cow being smashed over the head with a mace every time you ate meat? (not a repeat, a new baby cow every time)

Not a mace, but if it was one of those bolt guns they use then yeah. And why a baby cow? Surely it would be more sensible to see a video of the animal youre about to eat or that species.

Hmm allways thought veal was baby deer, though knowing that its baby cow and how its obtained is abit grim. Strange how knowing that put me off it abit.
Anyone ever had that 3xBird meal? sure it has a proper name but its like a duck inside a turkey inside a chicken or something with some added bacon/pork for good measure. Thats abit nuts and "wasteful" for a meal.
