I was one of the first 200 in the place and was so happy to get in early to be honest!

FAR too many people in the place and outside, was hard to get a skank on properly without hitting people!

BIG set from Distance, Youngsta got some vibes going early on and was enjoying Benga and Mala until the bass got turned off about 2.15 and it kinda killed my vibe!

Good idea/layout just real bad organisation...

Fortunately we got in early. I looked through the door when getting some tokens and it looked pretty horrific out there.

Inside, all in all it was pretty good. I prefer the intimacy of a proper club though. I thought the sound got a little lost in the coldness of the big room.

One thing that fucked me off was the lack of a lineup list anywhere. I missed pretty much everyone I wanted to see - but these are only minor gripes compared to all you poor sods who didn't make it in.

I'm glad i wasn't expecting much from the night and don't live far coz i wuda been very dissapointed.

It was the birthday event.

It seems to me like, They knew it wud be a road block, so didn't bother sorting it out properly, Didn't bother making sure people cud get in properly coz they knew don't matter ow much ppl get pushed and pissed off they still get there money in the end of the day, so fuck em.

And locked it off early to make it worse.

Basically,

The hunger has gone. FWD>> ain't tryna please to dubstep listeners. Cos they know no matter how shabby the night is, it will always be a roadblock, hence them making their money.

So yeah seems like the love for the sound has partly gone, all about the money init. But that happens to everything that gets big eventually don't it.

The tune 'Big Headed Slags' come to mind.

I don't remember what time i got in, i heard the benga and mala set which was good, That all i saw.

Its mad how the FWD>> nite gave birth to dubstep is being second choice to nights that came years after.

But thats how it goes......
Where the fuck are you people trying to take this argument?

FWD ain't trying to please dubstep listeners? Who is it trying to please then?

Seriously, FWD is one of the few raves that is consistently good. How many other weekly raves are you gonna go to that are as good as FWD? 52 nights a year they run the dance, and they're working around the schedules of DJs who are playing internationally now. Don't try and drag down the entire night just because of one swag night.

Bare posers on here I swear. Are you lot fans of the music or fans of being seen in the queue on a Friday on Curtain Road?
Who's a fuckin poser??? Yeah of course there holding a night charging money on the door just for the love of the sound yeah? They are trying to make fucking money like the rest of us so don't come with that love is all around talk mate.

I've been going to forward since the start, and what I wrote was my opinion based on how much and how popular its got since the start, And it weren't that rammed because it was another friday, It was because it was the birthday don't forget that, and it being the birthday ppl were expecting more then they received. And obviously it not being in the same venue its been held for the past few years more planning should be involved. Obviously.

Just my opinion.

You don't bloody like it????

Change your bloody sanitary towel.

Well done you.

Do you not think the people who had gone down with the hope of having a good night and instead spent the night queueing will find this attitude pretty fucking annoying?

Bruv, turning up to find massive lines moving slowly..I was pretty detemined to get inside. So I did.

Screw everyone else waiting in the line, 99.99% of the people I saw there I have never seen before in my life. I had a ticket and I made sure I was gonna use it.

Sorry for my shit attitude but with an unorganised mess like that I just had to do what was natural to any determined dubstepper.

yeah i been thinking this as well some times.. the quality of the nights vary from awful to good to poor, i used to hink it was because the dj where now spread thin.. but then brining funky house for example into fwd, knowing that there is a genuine dislike for it from a lot of the regular members.. started to make me think differently..

unfortunately i wasn't to go... i know shambles me not turning up to an event.... but tbh i have heard very mixed opinion of the night from a large source of people and from this forum. anyways i doubt it would have been the same with one man and guy not being there, ASE playing out and rusko, chef and Crazy D being in sweden. Anyways just going ot have to look forward to Big apple.... Btw i took part in the Cambridge university WTF open Championship and won gold.. heheh.. was worth not turning up..

mate i know thats kinda rude of them but realistically an apology may make you less vexed but it won't reverse time and sort out the mess they made of it, its happened now, personally i don't mind not getting an apology as long as it means they've sorted it out next time and learnt from their mistake
