sorry to say my recording was completely unlistenable, loads of really weird static-y distortion which seems to correspond to bass hits.. it's happened once before, got no clue why
check out ikonika's recent mix for vice - http://www.viceland.com/music/2009/03/ikonika-mini-mix/
thank you to everyone who listened and to ikonika, optimum and man like pange for coming through, it was good fun!

!
"If you were wondering, we’re not sure what specific genre you’d class Ikonika’s material as – it’s way too good to be dubstep"
eh?
Without wanting to ruin the surprise, the best thing about the remix is the trademark 'ROSKA!" vocal sample as the the tune drops. Its sickfaustus wrote:UFO over easy wrote:also got a Roska remix of Untold to play which has just been finished, preview styles
When I say best thing, it doesn't mean the remix itself is actually gash!

Will be locked in locked on as they, and indeed I am now saying. What is it with repetitious phrases in dubstep and d&b? 'Each and every' for instance, although I quite like that one.
I've still yet to hear any 'Funky' that I've liked when listening to clips on Chemical Records. This surprises me because it's quite percussive and I like that. Chef played a set includin lots of wicked tracks that I think would be classed as 'Funky' back in February at Ruffage at Works Media Centre, but I don't know what any of the them were.
I reckon if anyone can show me some Funky I'll like, it might be you Ben.
Incidentally, Toastyboy's 'On Something' and 'You're Special', and 2562's 'Kameleon' seem to fit in with Funky, but are superior to anything I've heard that's actually listed within this rubrique.
