Yeah, I'm in the same situation. Iration is faaaaar louder, and i find the top end sounds horribly distorted. If i stand by the door to the smoking area, i can just about stand it without plugs, but it still sounds like machines eating themselves every time a snare hits. Maybe this is because i've still got pretty good hearing (tested it on my monitors the other day and I can hear up to about 19.5KHz... I'm 23...), or I'm a just fussy tnuc.Are-K142 wrote: hmm, interesting...having only been to dmz once; the 2nd birtday bash, and been going subdub/exodus regular for a few years...is the iration rig just too loud? like simple as that, too loud? bcus thats been a complaint from a few people....or was the treble too much, white noise cuttin thru the head bizniz?
just interested how you come up with that opinion...? (no attempt at beef or owt i assure you)
Either way, I'd far rather not have to wear plugs at a rave, and this is a real possibility at DMZ. At exodus, it's just asking for trouble. You're getting damaged even before it starts to hurt, and exodus is agony...
I find the rig at exodus actually sounds fucking great when you've got plugs in, and there is definitely a bit more bass than DMZ, but DMZ sounds even better and doesn't require plugs.
That all said, one of the best dubstep moments i've ever had was at the end of the night at exodus, chef playing a set a deep as hell, leaning against the subs with some plugs in as my teeth rattled ...
