How can you put them in the same category?

tech itch makes far more deep, brutal & interesting music than them....his tune one of us is incredible & goes so well with any electro/techno in a set...

he's made tons of wicked halfstep tunes as well
Interesting is in the eye of the beholder, first of all... his DnB ain't interesting to me. Second of all, his Dubstep tunes sound like 140ish versions of his DnB tunes, essentially.

They are LFO wobblers and gritty ass knockoff-step. Point of order there as well, before it's said "well all kinds of people are playing his dubstep tunes"

I defy you to point to the decent headliners playing them out... when is the last time Mala dropped Know?

Anyone?

He makes hardcore tunes, but so do lots of "punk" bands that don't know how to string 3 Chords together. Really, they're one in the same... one group of lame bastards makes shit DnB and now makes some dubstep that sucks too... the other guy isn't a member of a group...

the only difference is the numbers of shit producers behind the name.
this isn't really chamclowder, is it?

Dreadsonacid.com here we come.

Shit, we already have "DieselBoy" in the name of a Stateside Dubstep DJ not to be named in this thread :D

EDIT: and to be honest, I can't be sure this isn't just Trill Bass in disguise... lame ass wobble mids with annoyingly sharp snares, and no subs... definitely Trill Bass.

Trill Bass are Pendulum?

You're really burial arent you....

Just like to add that I do think they are very talented producers and will make good tunes. It just the level commitment in the long run that is a concern.

Whilst their current run of tunes is slightly questionable, you cannot dispute they had some sick tunes such as Bacteria, Masochist, Axel Grinder and lets not forget the Vault (reminds me of ThunderForce IV :D) If this style gets broght to the table, i wont mind abit ;).

That aside bring Calyx, Teebee, Spor, Apex, Evol Intent, Ewun, Noisia in, and belive Cheshire cat bizness a gwarn :D :D :D :D

pretty much everyone here, since the beginning was either DnB or Grime/Garage... a few techno and maybe 1-2 house DJ's... I doubt many trance... almost exclusively DnB though

Well I'm sorry to dissappoint you all but, this sounds quality to me, better and fresher than a shitload of conservative wobble dubstep tunes tbh.

You should get all over with the pendulum hating. I mean, seriously what's the point? Not being the carebear here either but hating on pendulum is sooo last year.

Face it. They pwn you all, they fill up the clubs, and they make money like no other Drum & Bass artists. Fairplay if they do some dubstep. I would play that over a good bunch of tunes I prefer not to mention to avoid drama.

And hating on Tech Itch? say what you will, Tech Itch is a pioneer, and is one of the few Drum & Bass producers that can actually just build a tune out of that unique loop. And his 'One Of Us' is tits.

i think the majority of people here don't like their music. that's fair enough isn't it? tiesto 'fills the clubs' but that sort of thing isn't to everyone's taste either

pk I agree with you on the tiësto thing.

I'm not a fan of his music either, I don't think it's that bad tho, some tunes are ugly, but some are ok. He has made it well enough for you to have brought his example tho

But you don't see everybody saying how much they hate tiësto, they just don't talk about him.

Anyhow, whether not all pendusteppers are of my taste, or anyone's taste, this pendudub was nice.

Say what you will but you just can't deny that their new stuff, mainstream or not, sellout or not, shit or not, is way more innovative than their older stuff. They're just playing a different game, and fairplay considering the lack of money and interest that people have in dnb these days (plus considering the lack of innovative tunes and samey sounding styles).

I don't know about you but I would like to make a living off the music I do. So I guess that, at least in such extent, both Pendulum and Tiësto deserve respect for that.
