@mikeyp - The intro is lovely, just eq it a little here and there, clean it up, and keep the intro like -2db lower then the drop like plus 2db for more of a drop, cause the drop is quieter then the intro, and thats no good, but if you were to do that and maybe even have a little 1 bar rest before the drop, that would be dope.

@BOMAN - i fucking love this and i dont know what it is, im pretty sure its the breaks in the bass, lots of breathing room, which is sooo sooo nice sounding, the sample is funny, but i think this track needs a more righteously kickass sample. more mean sounding ya know ?

@E-T-F - this is a very very nice track, just not overall my style, but hey mad respect, its very nice sounding, and it really says something when it isnt my style but i enjoyed listening the whole way through ! :D

Here is a WIP of mine i made in like 20 mins, i got alot of work ahead of me, but where should i got with this ? intro ideas? ya know? shit like that, feedback is madly appreciated guys !

@ Specimen-Yarp. Quite liking this man! Gives me a liquid stranger feel. Maybe few more hihats in there for filling out? :)

@ BOMAN. Sludgy! Nice man. Sounds like it could do with some atmosphere in the backround. That's just me though! That little breakdown synth is cool. Have that continue on the drop?

@ E-T-F. Nice snare. Needs some more punch coming through to follow that nice reverb tail on it. The rest is nice. Nice hats.

@ Hoborg. Ahh I like melodys /keys etc! Nice sounds in this intro man! Digging that vocal aswell. Some more reverb on the bass synth might give it some more depth. Liking the vibes on this one though for sure.

Feedback/comments on this would be great. I've gone real melodic style on this. With a girly vocal. Just trying something different to what I usually do :)

Bradicle - Love the intro flutes! The rest isn't really my style, but I can appreciate it for sure. The piano is great after the drop. Great buildup in the middle. Really well made song, I don't have much criticism.

Yerp - Cool idea, but definitely needs to be built on a little. The kick could use a bit more fatness, and the snare might do good with a tab more weight in the lower mids. It sounds pretty empty how it is right now, a pad would sound nice, or maybe some kind of melody over the midbass.

BOMAN - Not bad, but it sounds very amateurish without an intro... a little hard to take it seriously. The little melodies at 1:30ish sound out of key, but only one of two notes are out so that shouldn't be too hard to fix. You production is decent at this point, but I'd spend a while making it a little more musical if I were you.

I haven't been in this thread for a while :s Here's a track I've been working on today, but I'm about to head out so I figured I'd post it here. It's a little more technoish than I'm used to, but I was listening to Nosaj Thing all morning, so that's probably why :D
(It may be clipping a little, I just threw a limiter on it to bring it up to a normal level)

@hudson: Nice atmosphere. The highs are a little harsh, try to smooth them over. Love the energy between the subbass and vocal pads :W: The kick/snare need to be fatter, but I like the perc arrangement.

@Brad: Those strings are powerful. Vocals are perfect. POWERFUL song and I mean it in the best way imaginable, really enjoyed it. Try manipulating the side chaining, that would make it drop even harder. Its sick already, though.

@Specimen: I'm not too into brostep, so I can't accurately crit the tune. I like the hi hat roll, but add some variation to the drums because it gets repetitive. The bass is cool, but needs some accompaniment, add some pads and leads or vocals or something.

I Love the feeling you get when you work in your daw for hours, can't get things exactly how you want them. Then a brief moment of clarity hits you and you know exactly what to do :) Feels good. The pads aren't very good. I whipped up the pads arrangement quick so there would be something accompanying the bass/drums.

E-T-F - See where you were going with that one, slow and heavy, and I would way you did a good job to start with, but it lacks dynamics, by that I mean that drums do not change, there is only one synth, if you add few more synths like at the beginning and at the end of each phrase things wuld change dramatically, im not saying you should change it a lot, its good as it is, just make it slightly different here and there so that a listener doest get bored. Good job !

Specimen-Yarp - Good synth sound, good rythm, but there's ONLY ONE synth there, which is boring, every time when this synth does not make any noise there should be something else going on like othere synth or anything really (drums,voice samples etc.) it is often good to replaсe the first beat in a phrase with something different, this way the rythm changes and creates interesting spontaneous effect, shit I know this sounds like "wtf" I wish I could express myself better.

hudson -(sept7) sounds a bit like that russian dude "Oceania", anyways I can see what it could be but I could never give you an advice on this sort of style, keep it comin and good luck )

here is my new tune, someone please tell me why does it sound like shit ? What could I have done wrong ? Not enough compression ? Frequencies clushing ? What ? ))) !

@alexeyhermann like the idea with the 8 bit sounds and strings but the bass is taking away to much of the spectrum, but i always like to hear modern talking so thats a plus haha maybe just clean up the bass little bit to make room for the other elements

@fluidmoshun bassline reminds me of the good old idm basslines ;i would just suggest to keep the bass little bit more mono and maybe take a melody on top with the same notes and pan this one. drums are maybe little bit to dry some reverb would be cool i think

@hudson really like this just the one main snare seems little bit to quiet other than that you just have to find something to keep the tune moving after the 2 minutes

added some more elements

@Danimal

First track: I really like that wobble bass, but I think you're overdoing it a tad, and it sounds a little wet, but I really like this track. Could have more things going on with the drums though. I like them as they are, but they're too simple. They need more fills and fun percussion things.

Second track: Haha, I hear Modern Talking :P It's okay, but not much of a remix if you ask me. You basically just went crazy with Massive over a track, and I think added a few kicks. Sounds good though.

@Cubicle

Damn dude... That is one attractive beat. Very grooving, very enchanting, and I love the vocal loops. One thing I didn't like was the key change. I thought it was fine where it was, imo.

@Craggle

For your first time using logic, that's really impressive. The rise was sexy, and I really liked the drop. Lots of good bass, even on my shitty headphones. It's a good catchy line too, but again, as I said to Danimal, could have a lot more drum work.

Here's mine that I'm ridiculously proud of. I'm rubbish at mixing, so take it as it is for now xD Lemme know watcha think.

@R3N3gAD3: like you said, the mix needs work. I love that horn melody that comes in about 2/3 of the way through. not a huge fan of that synth you've got on the up beat chords. also I think this could use more bass, try to get some higher frequencies involved
@BudSpencertron: cool sounds but I think you've got a little too much gain on the drums, especially the bass drum, back off it a bit. also try adding some subtle atmospheric pad/chords over that bassline to fill it out
@alexeyhermann: great sounds but yeah dude you have to re-evaluate your mix. your drums are totally lost in it. get out a visual eq and see where you're placing your elements in the mix. I sometimes refer to this: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=club+tra ... 29,r:0,s:0

here's an update of the WIP I posted a day or two ago, I took your collective advice and spiced up the drums while adding some sub in but I think it still needs something more to really take it to the next level. I love feedback.

@Hoborg

To be honest, not my favorite. The synth gets extremely tiring after a while to listen to, just because it's so high pitched. The drop is nice though. Very tasty drop. Work on the synth sound though. Needs to be mixed in a lot more with the drums, and moar bass.

2nd track: Oh god. I like. I like a lot. The samples are fucking fantastic. The vocal parts are so fucking appropriate where they are. The bass is sexy as hell... I want that preset... I like this a lot man (or woman, if you happen to be a woman), good work.

@BudSpencertron

HUGE tune. Digging the whole thing. Massive bass, heavy and the arps are sick. Lost me around the 4:00 mark, though.

@Renegade

Digging the production. Drums sound great. Not my cup of tea, though.

@GV1

I actually like the vocals. Song is totally chilled. Would definitely listen more than once.

@Hoborg

Great vocal samples. Great production. I'd like to hear a beefier kick.

*Here's a 97 BPM Disco/Pop tune I'm working on. Looking for feedback, whether you like it or not. Cheers!*

Thanks for the feedback. My track was completely unmixed, its just the rough idea for a new song. I listened to your tune, the bass is interesting the whole way through. Some pads to fill the edges of the background would be nice, though. Especially during the break. Sounds good so far, the phased bass is molten. Keep adding those elements :W:

THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD FEEDBACK. IT IS APPRECIATED!!

@Lowphat Cheers man. not as of yet. i was approached by a label through soundcloud and they just mentioned october/november as an expected sort of time for it. i really like your WIP - straight nightmares - love the vibe of it. definitely need to push up the bass. its barely audible atm. like the sample selection for the drums. if you were going for a shuffle with the hats n stuff. its the right idea but for me the timing/quantising doesn't sound "right". nice though. would love to hear the finished version.

@amphibian thanks man. i'm definitely gunna bring that through more. 320.....maybe lol. chances are that when its finished i'll take the wip of the internet and it'll only be posted back on my soundcloud or wherever once its released and for sale(should be by the end of november). you can have the version that i've got up now though. if you want it, let me know!!

@Hoborg RE: Further. deep. the sound proper takes you back a few years. love it. sample is perfect. i'd say the mix needs a tidy up. the agressive synth that first comes in just before the drop, i think, is completely unnecessary. for me it "ruins" the track. if you do keep it i reckon it needs alot of work. intrested to hear the finished product. nice work!

@alexeyhermann. nice sounds. might be wrong but it doesn't sound like you've automated anything = no drama between intro and drop. the drums aren't sitting well in the mix either. definitely some frequency masking happening there, could be the drum samples you've used but its hard to tell!!! hope that helps

@Kidstrange sleepy machine... i like it but i ain't got a clue what to say about it(could be a good thing i guess). you definitely ended up with the abstract feel you went for. nice!!

I have 2 WIPs i would like feedback on!!

if you're gunna leave me feedback on just one of them, i'd prefer it to be this one
