300 people will get the 12", hundreds of others are forced to pirate it. Way she goes.

Something that would give fans a half decent shot at being able to pay for the record. I think they could comfortably double the press, still guarantee a sell out and give people a better shot and reduce the chance that these plates just end up on Discogs for £50+.
Why bother doing something like that when you can remain cooly exclusive, piss off your fans and make sure the vast majority of them will never be able to own it legally? Fuck fans, those entitled fucks, wanting to give artists something for their art.

Re: Stop Loefah-Midnight being lost
500 would be enough, but instead of being limitedly exclusive to buy online, people should have to buy a quest set by BH which entails a series of challenges taking them around the world and finally ending up in the depths of the Amazon and have to fight with 30ft snakes or with silverback gorillas in the African jungle. Each of the 500 plates will be hidden in an equally ridiculous place and only the committed will succeed.

It already came out bro. 4 copies, it was only available at Swordfish Records in Birmingham between the hours of midnight and 1 am, and if you didn't enter the right coupon code at the checkout, Berceuse Heroique destroyed it.

There's been plenty of serious discussion in this thread, and rather than write back anything worth reading, there's just shouts of "entitlement" straight away. Plenty of people have had their say on why they or others might be pissed off at the move. Don't act like that bro.sixs wrote:biggup the playground attitudes

Re: Stop Loefah-Midnight being lost
I know I have said this before but what makes people think there won't be a repress by the label?
They've repressed certain records to suit demand before?
It's just the labels way of doing things, the always press 300.
The funny thing is if they ended up repressing it 10 times, there will still be people crying saying "so much for a limited release"

Re: Stop Loefah-Midnight being lost
If there is a repress, then fair play, I don't know much about the label. I've done a quick search, and most stuff seems to be sold out in most places. Wouldn't really be asking too much for them to say "We'll repress it if it sells out" and stop all the negative press around them, would it?
