I've got a bad habit of writing down drum and synth ideas on my notepad, by the time I get to a DAW I try and recreate them and never can.
When I used to work nightshift I got away with taking in my Macbook and Oxygen 8. Was when I first started getting tracks made, Listened back to some of the ones saved at around 5am after a nightshift the other day and were jokes.

The notepad is essential! Especially when am having a smoke and having weird ideas coming into my head all the time.

No worries
Weekend was going to plan until 4pm yesterday, when the missus' car got a puncture. Ended up driving her to work, then going to bed at 6pm, setting the alarm for 1am, picking her up from work and getting back to bed at 3am. Up at 7 for work. And it would appear my copy of Massive still hasn't arrived.

ah, fair enough.
Managed a stoned pub crawl on Friday through Kingston. Was going well until we stumbled across a Xmas market. Ended up buying a tenner's worth of pick & mix.

Well well well, i hadnt noticed this thread! Not a bad start to the day to be fair. Had nice sausage bap for brekkie AFTER i got to work lol, just had a nice cuppa n a ciggy. I also got ALOT done on a new track yesterday so time well spent. Still found i had to fight myself to shutdown at 2am this morn even with a 7.30am start lol. The old ear fatigue was starting to kick in as i spent probably about 8 hours on my sequencer yday lol not to mention i got some pengin cheese last night and i was fookin mashed lol still felt a bit baked this morn but nothing the bap didnt fix lol.
Still got the melodies buzzin in my skull, bet my colleagues think im nuts walking round the office beat boxin n humming melodies n shit but. If the inspiration is flowing then the ideas are coming :p.
Hows everyones monday so far?

I just had to sit in a really dull, unproductive meeting. I can think of a million better and more enjoyableways that I could have spent my morning.
Repeatedly slamming my penis in a revolving door for instance.
Clock watching till 4pm now....... 5 hours to go. Got some new green coming in and my new favourite toy (Kontakt) to play with when I get home so its not soooo bad.

Yes! Too short though...
my gig didn't go exactly as planned..... I arrive at the venue and it turns out they do not have any turntables. As I had only brought vinyl it was a bit critical.
Somehow a guy from the venue managed to bring two 1210s suddenly so I could play my set.
He then went on placing them in the desk.. There was allready two CDJ2000s.. and for some reason they were not allowed to be moved. So the turntables had to be palced completely fucked. 1 facing in the right direction and one that was placed in a reverse battleposition.. like with the pickup facing me. So i knocked the pickup over 3 or 4 times.
But meh, nobody really cared.. afterall i cleared the floor after playing 10 seconds of my first tune, Benga & Walsh - Biscuit Factory. Maybe not that good a choice....
People there just wasn't into dubstep. They only returned when I dropped Breakages Riverside remix....
But I had fun
