It's interesting to see how the different forums have reacted to this;

DMA - "Hi! We're doing a DubstepMusic Awards which will be super fun and Dubsteppy!"

DSF - "We already have one. Fuck off"
DNBF - "Dubstep, LOL. Fuck off."
DOA - *sound of chin being stroked*................."Fuck off"
UKF - "ZOMG looks amazing!"

Everyone, is of course, entitled to their own PERSONAL opinions. However, away from this forum and certain others mentioned above, we're gaining excellent support from some of the scenes most influential figures and supporters.

It's a shame that such criticsm (which was expected) should be seen as the views of the wider audience, as this certainly isn't the case. :)

It's true, the response from this forum has been negative, however, it's a forum and does not represent the views of the millions of Dubstep fans around the world, unless the millions of fans are all signed up to these forums? - Doubtful.

We look forward to an excellent event and an excellent turn-out, along with an excellent awards!

Fair play to you; respect the attitude you're carrying with this and all.

However, if your Facebook wall is anything to go by, Dubstep is about pouting American teenagers with mobile phone mirror pics as their profiles, begging you to include Skr*llex on the lineup. That, in my own PERSONAL opinion, is not Dubstep.

But that's blatantly the market they're trying to tap. Fresh outta college/school, disposable income and into the new wave dubstep. I know it's too late and all, but people really shouldn't treat this as an awards ceremony for Dubstep as we (mostly) on this forum see/hear it. It's a massive rave, selling the current pop dubstep vibe. It ain't for me (esp. after the DNB awards), but there is a huge audience for this, so more power to em.

I like many, would like it not to be labelled dubstep, but that is the natural progression of things and to try and fight it is pointless. :U:
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

What's the lineup? I'm not a member of Facebook and they've made it private.
