Been checking out some of the Robert Fonseca stuff in anticipation for this album... some of it is pretty wild!

Rumour has it he has exiled himself to the Alps to hone and polish his new sound by working with the only finest Yodlers. Forthcoming OWSLA.

Can't wait till some clips of the other tunes on the album begin to surface. If Calle F and Cuba Electronica are an accurate indication of what type of sound we have to look forward to, I can't imagine how spectacular this 14 track LP will be as a whole. I have a feeling this might just be the best 140 album to come from this scene to date.

I feel like the future of dubstep hangs on this release, I'm
Not feeling this juke and dungeon crap really and I feel proper dubstep has lost all it's producers to either juke, dungeon or commercial duties. Mala and coki are the last surviving two and coki has gone abit stale if you ask me!
I love artists like Pangaea and Pearson sound but pangaea doesn't release enough and Pearson is hit and miss and hessle has gone abit weird with the last few releases.
So in my mind we need mala to come back and rescue 140 so I can stop living in the past and start listening to dubstep again.. I mean is there even proper dubstep nights anymore since dmz stopped doing parties??

100% agree. 140 really needs a kick up the hole. I'm starting to grow tired of the dungeon sound as everything sounds the same and now everyone in the scene is jumping on the rollers wagon. The Swamp sound has just turned into 80's house music and as for commercial stuff, meh.

Dubstep needs something fresh and I really think this it. However...

Cue 500 producers making *insert country musical style here* inspired tunes with dodgy percussion.

I kind of feel like there's actually plenty of great dubstep being produced, it's just that it's all being over-shadowed by the exorbitant amount of same-samey dungeon shit that's coming out.
