Would that be MPO of France? Or GZ of the Czech Republic?
Optimal Germany.

Progress is being made. We hope to update you with a definitive answer and solution soon.
Big up deep medi and st holdings for being on the case and stuff.

I'm having similar problems with my copy. I will wait to hear what Deep Medi says. I'm just worried that this will fuck them finacially :(

Well I think the pressing plant will give some sort of "insurance" for fucked up copies.

I hope so. If deep medi has financial problems I'm willing to donate

I would probably pay £100 for this album if I had to.

I would donate money too. Waiting till the cd comes out, if thats fucked then we know what the problem is. Fingers crossed its just a few fucked copies (not that it helps those who bought them.)

To be fair this backs up what Ive been saying about poor quality vinyl, the last few releases I bought were pretty fucked, DMZ 14 being the straw that broke the camels back.

i was thinking could all the stores that have the album send all the copies back seen as they are faulty and get a refund from whoever pressed them?? if so said stores could put a note on the album saying if ur copy is faulty please send it back for either a refund or exchange for a proper press as soon as they may be ready?? Coz no1 customers or stores deserve to have paid for faulty goods so to speak. I know every1 myself included has stated their dissapointment but i really am gutted. i just hope we hear good news in the near future.

I took mine back today and copped a refund.... well... I swapped it up for some 12"s. I asked the guy in the shop if any others had been returned and he said no. I considered my copy unplayable tho. Most tracks sounded ruff... but Beauty was the worst.
I've bought a few 12"s recently that have sounded crap... I hope its not a trend.

OK, I got my CD copy this morning.

All the tracks sounded fine to me - except beauty - which felt like it was a little distorted or being clipped at the top end.

My thoughts are that this *may* be the track - although seems unlikely considering the other tracks on the album.

It's a minor issue for me - since it's not affecting all the other tracks, and the rest is incredible anyway - but yeah slightly annoying that it's affecting this last track.

Nice artwork tho - love that it opens up and down the way!

CD or Vinyl?

We should really specify, so there's no confusion.

yes mate i think the same, maybe Beauty is meant to sound like that. Beauty does sound a bit muffled on my vinyl version and there is another track that has slight crackling through it. but other then that most tunes do sound good. Planet x and concrete jungle are 2 favs + cats eyes and they sound great. Me mate allso has the cd version and he says Beauty even sounds bit muffled on that, so i might just stick with the vinyl and try learn to live with Beauty.

Just got my vinyl copy today and it sounds fine. A tad on the quiet side, but sounding clean nonetheless. Mine came from Redeye if that makes a difference.

I know I've done my share of complaining about the recent rash of poor pressings; this, thankfully, is not one of them for me.

same for me, thank goodness! I was all freaked out from this thread that it was gonna sound bad but my copy is fine, granted it's at 33 so I have to turn the gain up a bit for it to sound like a 45 but other than that my pressing is quality. Such an amazing album, big up Silkie. Quasar is emerging as my favorite tune, but the entire album is so cool... future classic for sure, keep em coming Mala! Don't let this issue discourage you from pressing wax, I love what you're doing and so many others do too...
