This is a seriously cool track. I'll expand a bit on that:

Props:
-Cool glitchy sound. Will bring obvious comparisons to Flylo (not a bad thing :) )
- Organ sounds are nice and full. Sounds very organic to my ears too.
- When the synth and organ combine they compliment each other well and dont clash/sound muddy. Some good eqing coupled with some good musicianship here.
-Nice choice of FX. The rises and falls throughout give it a nice phasing quality which sits well with the glitchy drums.
-@2:20 nice section with no drums. Drops the track down a gear but still keeps the track grooving along.
-@3:40 nice drop into a "stuttery" synth. Sounds cool layered with the other synth and drums. The layering throughout the whole thing is class tbh. One of those "hear something different each time you hear it" tracks.

Advice:
-Maybe have the kick ever so slightly higher in the mix.
-Adding a vocal sample to the first part of the section starting @2:30 would help break it up a little and add even more contrast between this section and the ones its proceeded and preceeded by.
-@2:30 there is a strange synth sound that comes in that is too high in the mix and sounds too "edgy". Doesnt add anything to the whole thing tbh. The track is solid without it bruv :)
- Im listening on headphone so this might be bollocks, but I couldnt hear much bass. So maybe having the bass higher in the mix would be an idea.

Overall:
Fucking loved it. The advice ive given, except maybe for the synth part, is nit picking in the extreme. I had to struggle to find anything negative to say. Good work. Cant wait to hear some more! :w:

Wow man, thank you so much for listening and taking the time to write all of that!

I'll look into some of the stuff you said. Will definitely lower that one synth @2:30 a little bit Also, the bass is really low, not in volume but in pitch, so it's mostly sub used to round out the track. So that's why you won't hear it on headphones as much. At least for me, it's one of those elements that you notice when it isn't there, rather than when it is. Thank you for the positive comments too!

Thanks for the others who left comments as well! I really appreciate it.

Pro's and Con's?

Much Love. :w:
so you're gonna steal my tag, eh? :P only joking

Labyrinth - "Single Point"

props:
+oh good god. :o that bass is just... wow. liquid filth. i had to pull the headphones off out of fear that the grime would fill my head up
+so yeh. wow. very grimey yet still massive.. great work programming that one
+melody line fits the style of bass very well.

advice:
-feel like you could do a little better spicing up the drum programming... felt pretty basic and uninspired
-maybe a high hat, crash, ride... something on the high end to round out the beat as well
-break seems a little long, or could use a little ambience to fill it out if you want to keep the flow the same

overall:
=well well well, super grimey and nasty, super unique style. would love to see what else you have hiding up you sleeve. really just need to work on the drumline and some ambience... usually doesnt feel like its important, but can really make the difference between a banger and a see-saw... once the beat is fattened up, that bass will destroooooy.

Seeing as you have reviewed some of mine I'll repay ya :D

Liked the lead, but would of liked a bit more suspense to it like when you just cant wait for the drop but thats just personal preference. Liked the bass sounds especially on the second drop.

There was like a orchestral type sample that distracted me in the part after the break (119 seconds - when the sample stopped) but maybe i notice things to much.

Liked the grimey feel i love a bit of dark feeling and it was deffinatly a head nodder

Big up man

Here's one in a totally different vein to my last one...again, not sure if this is dubstep or what? Dancefloor, hands-in-the-air, anti-dubstep??

"Plata o Plomo" - made on the plane to and from Copenhagen.

Nice tune I would say yeah dubstep but not sure what kind or sub genre :D
you out
I like the chilled out vibe needed that after listening to cry me a river by bogore bloody hell. The ambience bring you down in a good way to a head nodding vibe.

I lik ethe use of the synth as well really added substance to the track and was plesant on my ear drums.

Im really liking this kinda dubstep atm especially at these times of night it chills you out kinda like a cup of tea, sun sport pages and a ciggie

Keep up the good work im gunna pay a bit more attention to your bits from now on you have a new fan!!! big up

hahaha!

and oh yes! i forgot i had that review already done and ready to post... i think i tucked it in a folder somewhere... ill dig it out or do it over, never fear..

that first track is meant to be "crunk" and not really grime or dubstep at all haha, just the beat with the snare on the 3's is the only dubstep vibe i put in it besides the occasional wub... i really feel most grime is chill and really dark, not jumpy and spastic

oh and i have to ask... are you as old as your name and avatar imply? sorry if that sounds rude, but i just hope you're the jolly elderly man i envision in my mind when i read your posts... if not then just pretend that you are :P
