I've always wanted to do research into whether diseases transmitted via blood (hep, HIV etc) can survive the cooking process. Just so when TEOTWAWKI hits I'll know how cautious to be with my meal choices.

If the food is cooked properly at high enough temperatures then the genetic information inside the virus should denature rendering the virus ineffective.
